A bittersweet event. Sad for MM- it's tough to see an artist like Vinnie go ... but great for Vinny, who is such a huge talent and who's career I hope really takes off.

I used to love UFO back in the day when I was more of a rock player. That Live album was one of my favorites.

Good luck to you Vinnie.

One of the coolest moments at the open house was our very own Tommyindelaware and Vinnie jamming the big stage together.

After reading all of BPs posts I have nothing to say. BP covered it all

Best of luck to him.

I have to say that in the time I have been watching this forum and the few days I have been a member I am blown away. Thanks BP for being so active on this forum and for letting the people who love your company know what's going on before it's in some guitar mag or the album cover of someone's new album. I look forward to joining the Ball family A.S.A.P.

I agree, BP, your commitment to customers, products, endorsee's and all things related, is incredible. Something that seems to be present in all EB staff too.

Sterling 'Straight Shooter' Ball is my new nickname for you Big Poppa.

K, excuse me, I seem to have something on my nose, brb.

Wow you go away on vacation and look what happens!! Well sad to see Vinnie go, but I fully understand and wish him the best. I was lucky enough to have seen him play at the Open House and I was totally blown away.

Good luck, Glenn |B)

That's pretty interesting news to come back to, especially since I was thinking about a Vinnie Moore clinic. Since the thread Pete started about the Morse clinic I was thinking of trying to get Pete to have Vinnie there at SOME point, but I guess that will not happen now.
Either way, life is full of decisions and changes, and I hope Vinnie will be happy with the new company (must find out which). He is really one of my favourite players, and really got me into the Silo Special and his amazing tone. I have no doubts he will keep producing AMAZING music, and cant wait to hear his new album (not sure what is the status at this point).
I will HAVE to dedicate a video to Vinnie playing my Silo Special once I customize it...not sure what to play, but I'll figure it out.

BTW: The GOOD news is that the Silo Special is sticking around (not that Vinnie leaving is necesarily bad...respectfully).

Rob, I had been tossing that idea around.... Next year (2008) is our 55th Anniversary and I'm gonna work for something huge.

Sometimes in business you can't always go with whatever "feels right" but you have to go with whatever "is right"

Nothing will change the fact that Vinnie is a monster player :)

Ok Ok...I can read between the lines. BP, I will gladly take Vinnie's place. Feel free to PM me when you're ready.

Too bad Vinnie is leaving. A loss for EB, but I'm glad it seemed to be a friendly exit.

Sooooo. . . . BP. . . . if you need you need someone to replace Vinnie to give free guitars to. . . . . . . . I'm just putting it out there:D:D:D

p.s. I just learned a G chord!!

This has been in the works for some time.

Vinnie sent us an email saying that with his increased exposure with UFO that other companies have been after him and that he is ready to switch. I think that without going into too much detail that he felt that he was in a secondary position with us and wanted to be someones big fish.

We wish Vinny nothing but the best and are happy that he was with us the longest of any of the other guitars that he endorsed.

yeah good luck and all, BUT with his increased exposure, wouldn't he want to spread the word and show the world that top musicians play EBMM?? I don't get it. It shouldn't be about money, but I'm sure Ibanez or ESP are gonna throw buckets of money at him. Me personally, I just sold of 3 of my guitars to buy a left handed Luke Blue Dawn and I couldn't be happier.
