I would love to attend such an event, schedules permitting. Making it an annual event would be just brilliant so that more of us could make the trip (pilgrimage?).

I couldn't raise the funds for my Bongo, imagine the torture of watching them being made!

This has got to be one of the best offers I've seen and is a wonderful idea.

I'd love to be bored to tears (of envy) with some accounts/photos ater the event.

Maybe you could reserve a block of rooms at a nearby hotel and Jongitarz could come pick us up in his El Camino? ;)

Seriously, though.. I think it would be worth looking into a 'designated' hotel. Our own expense, of course, but you folks are a lot more familiar with SLO than we are. Plus, it would be very interesting to have this motley crew stuffed under one roof.. should result in hours and hours of good stories. :D

By the way, this is an extremely generous and otherwise awesome thing that you are considering. Thanks, even if nothing results from it!

I was just coming back to say that it wouldn't be tough to get a group discount on a block of hotel rooms. It only makes sense.
 
Oh I would seriously love to. Some sun, surf and stingrays!!!!! what could be better.

Alas having only got married a month ago there is not a chance either funds or my new bride would allow the travel. (Why is it that when you put wedding or bridal before some thing you get to add three 000s to the price!! :( )

Now if there was a traveling open house with strings and things in London I would walk from Norwich for that one.

Let us see the pics when it happens.

Awesome idea! I'm all over that like a fat kid on a smartie. I'm in Cali every month or so; would just need to work out the dates!
 
I'm TOTALLY in if I can convince my wife we need a trip to cali... "honey... we can see the redwoods too..." - wait... she's from california... I'll have to think up something better.
