For you folks from far away, SLO is close to the BIG SUR COAST, one of the most beautiful 90 miles of coastal driving you'll ever see. It's a must do if you have tranny. Also, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is one of the finest in the US.

Plan accordingly to do those 2 things in the same day. Just not on EBMM open house day.

Morse, Luke and Petrucci all in the same day?

Too much. Where's my asthma spray?

:D

Is Monterey the closest (real) airport?

You'd think I would know this considering I used to live there.

If you fly, you would probably go to LAX then hop on a puddle jumper to SLO airport

BTW I will email you about this a bit later, but we just may have room for you, Erika, and Jeremy at Casa de Jardinero. Think about it OK?

Christ, we're going to need a school bus to transport people to Denny's and back.

Jon, much depends on timeframe but I remain hopeful. Keep the vodka cold!

Well, not that I really care if it's cold as long as there's ice.

Has ice been outlawed in California yet? I know Waxman was talking about it.

The more I think about it the more I like the idea
Me personally would love it near the end of the year or even start of next year and to be given plenty of notice - to organize time off from work etc.

But it just goes to show EB does listen to the customers which is really refreshing

My wife wants us to go to Phoenix in late june/early july to visit her sister.
That sure would be a nice short jump from Sky Harbor over to SLO, if such a flight exists. My brother-in-law in Phoenix flies America West jets for Mesa, so maybe I'll ask him if such a flight might exist.

Hmm.

Can you imagine Big Poppa in Gene Wilder's purple velvet suit, singing, "Come with me and you'll be in a world of pure imagination~"? :p

I am SO there...when?

ADDENDUM: After NorM and I did some research, it has been determined that mid-July could be a great window of opportunity for this event.

As it stands, there are no major events planned for Albert Lee, Steve Morse, John Petrucci (break time between Euro and US tour), and Dave LaRue. We could have some pretty above average folk in attendance, if this played out well (pardon the pun!)

NorM has suggested that we make use of/activate the Ernie Ball Mobile Stage...how does that grab ya?

I would really like to see this happen; this would be a great opportunity to meet a bunch of folk from the forum, hang out with the great people of EBMM, and spend some time with the prestigious signature artists that help to make these instruments what they are.

Oh, and the food...lots of food. That would be good, too...NorM's on a high-protein kick, so we need meat. Lots of meat. :)
