I'm looking at 4000 Miles, round trip but by van :), sooooo I would beable to take rest stops in whereever and just jam on the bass and guitar in the back ya! Maybe leave 3 or 4 days early. Chances are slim, but I'll play it by ear, you guys probably dont want me there anyways haha

Well now I didn't know you drank alcoholic beverages.

I'm not at all sure I can hang out with you.

Whoa, almost knocked my martini glass over.

BP... all I can say (and I think I speak for most of us) is thank you for the thoughtfullness. I am just happy that you would open your doors to us (not very many companies would do that). I am sure that whatever is planned by you and your staff will be outstanding.

You know what? I wish I could find a way to bring Heinz with me, because after all that bass has been through, wouldn't it be nice to show him where it all started?

This seems strangely appropriate. I think Heinz would enjoy it!

I want to thank BP for the invitation to SLO. I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone on the forums that will attend......seems like the perfect atmosphere for some basses and tequila.
Just the thought of Bovine attending will make the party.

Ok, so I have a thought. Bovine's post in the "tuesday morning torture" thread brought this on, so blame him. Since Mr. Ball is being so generous and inviting us to come to the factory for a day of fun and all this good stuff, and all the stuff Jon, Derek, Scott, Sterling, and Ernie have done for us, maybe we should have some sort of a tribute type thing to them. Obviously we'll have to coordinate this outside of the forum, becaue what fun would it be if they knew? It could be kinda like a Tribute to Ernie and a big thank you to the rest of the guys at the EB/MM factory all at the same time. I havent any ideas as to what we could do, just hte general concept. They've done alot for us, so I think we should pay them back somehow, or at least show them our appreciation somehow. Maybe pitch in and buy a Stingray and have all the forum members that attend sign it and present it to Sterling later in the evening? I dunno, I'm just kinda spitballing here, but I think it would be nice.

great idea dude. id love to participate. maybe when things start settling in we can start working out an idea. i can use my web space to host a mini forum for whoever is 100% in so that we can discuss and make plans.

i think BP and (of course) the entire staff always go way out of their way for us ... this open house is a way extreme example of that and i think many people would like to take the opportunity to say "thanks"

its probably too early to try and organize this but feel free to PM me cuz id love to help ya out w/ this

It's times like this I'm glad I can fly for free (good career planning).

I'm in as long as the dates work out. I'm guessing it won't be before or during NAMM week (I'll see you EB guys here (in Indy) that make the trip).

<<< edit >>>

I just read in the guitar thread that late AUG/early SEP are currently being discussed....
