I'm willing to bet you forget the chrome thing when you get it and start playing it, congrats on a killer bass and deal.

As someone who bought a second white fretless bass with the intention of having it refinished and never did, I agree with this comment.

What real difference will chrome knobs make? The knobs will look shiny, and everyone who sees the bass will think "Hey look at them there shiny knobs" at the very best...

I'd say just keep the black - it looks kinda understated cool. ...cool for knobs.

Well I found a guy who owns a powder coating business, and he will do the job for me. I ordered another set of knobs from EBMM, and will see how it works out. Worst case is I'm out about $30.

I hope it gives you the exact look you are going for. I've certainly spent a lot more than $30 in parts and labor for things that ended up "meh." So, good luck to ya. You'll still have black buttons, though. ;)

Today's the day I pick up my new baby. I will surely have pics up sometime tonight.

Nah.... The pics won't be up tonight.... And that's ok. You'll have to put it down to take pictures.... and I have a feeling that just isn't gonna happen. :)

Congrats again John, I knows it's been a long, bumpy road but I'm really happy for you and glad this baby's goin' home with you!

Thanks Matt,
I need my wife to take the pics, so it's out of my control. BTW the bass is amazing, but I have a slight problem. The truss wheel is frozen, and I have a call into EBMM CS. I might have to bring it back to the store, and let the pros fix her. Other than THAT, this baby plays and LOOKS incredible!

The ever dreaded "stiction" :). It will free right up and you'll be right as rain. They'll get you squared away.

I've gotten insanely low action on the 25ths I've owned and they've played like butter (my current BFR is ridonkulous how well it plays).

Yours will sound even better though.... Primarily due to the person playing it! LOL :)

Yup. Those tops still suck.

Congrats and glad to see that your wife finally allowed you to have your Balls back!

Hey John, nice looking top, bottom pic really shows what a killer quilt it is. Sorry to hear you had a problem with the truss
rod wheel out of the gate, as much as that sucks, the up side is how incredible CS is once they get it, I couldn't believe how fast the turn around was.
