Sounds like it's possible per Dargin's official thread:

Highlights:

- Ebony fretboard
- White pearl with paua abalone insert inlays
- Available on all models except the Y2D, Axis, and Axis SS
- Available lined or unlined fretless (no inlays)
- Matching or non matching headstock

I agree! I was reading through the thread a bit farther and noticed Colin said no 25ths in DD2. It's probably due to the binding if that's the case.

I'm pretty sure they said no 25th Dargie in one of the threads. It was also mentioned that it was available on anything that didn't have binding so it would make sense that it's not available. I'll try to find a link.

Of course I could be wrong, I've been up for 25 straight hours and am so tired I just spent 20 minutes trying to figure out what was wrong with one of my amps before I realized I had the volume knob on my guitar rolled almost all the way off.

dont worry ive done that playing live and i wasnt even tired.... i was stressing out checking everything.. then looked at my guitar and it clicked..... *DOH*

No go on the 25ths. We wanted to do the black mother of pearl shields (that's why it was on JP's BFR) and inlays but they are impossible to manufacture consistently.

Scott, purely out of curiosity if you have the time to answer as I'm sure your busy with NAMM approaching, but what exactly happened to the pearl shields that made them impossible to make consistently? Also what caused the change in the decision to go with painted necks after BP's initial statement that the necks would not be painted?
