What is the oldest guitar you have ever owned?

My uncle left me a pearl white 59' Strat when I was a teen. So like any idiot teenager I immediately routed it for a DiMarzio Super Distortion and a Floyd. I saw one recently that wasn't is as good of shape as mine before I mangled it that was going for $25K. I appologize in advance to anyone who I've offended by my unexplainable butchering of a classic.

When I look back at that now, I feel about like I would if I decided to draw a mustache on the Mona Lisa when nobody was looking.

Geesh - I hate to reveal my age but I had several late 50's LP's, some early 60's SG's and a few Fenders (probably others I can't remember) back when they didn't cost a fortune.

The longest I have ever owned a guitar is 20+ years for my 87 Fender Am Stnd Stratocaster (still have it), and my favorite guitar of all time is my Axis!!!!

If it's a 61, it's actually a Les Paul. I had a 64 SG Special (first year they dropped the Les Paul name and made it an SG model), as well as a 66 ES-335. Still have my 1959 Tweed Lancer amp though (I know, I know, it isn't a guitar)...

A creamy 65 fender mustang.. very easy to play..jingly surf sounds.. impossibly low action... without buzz..very kewl vibe..but a toy next to the EB*s.still have it..sits in the case..it*s actually a pretty well made instrument.set it up 7 years ago,and it*s still spot on.cheers. Fender bashers would have a hard time with this one.Cheers.

My 1st guitar was a piece of crap Peavey (T1?) I don't know when it was made, but it's the guitar that taught me about intonation. The intonation was so bad on this thing & the bridge didn't have individual saddles.

My oldest guitar now is my '94 EVH

Well anyway, this is my oldest guitar, a SG from 66:
