Thanks to my buddy Keith Baim who bought me a CD at the Steve Morse/ Dregs show last January (in San Juan Capistrano) I can now say that my favourite Dregs track is

Ionized!

The one I have heard the most though is Take It Off The Top - it was the theme tune to "The Friday Rock Show" in the UK for many years when I was growing up (and before I knew who Steve was).

My personal favorites:

Ice Cakes
Night Meets Light
Pride of the Farm
Cruise Control
Assembly Line
(forget name) the polyrythmic (6:4) tune from the last album with the Eric Johnson-type ostinato motive with a Celtic feel

New to the forum and only joined for the Steve Morse discussions. No question "What If" is my favorite with "When Night Meets Light" as my all-time favorite composition hands down. I have been a fan of Morse since I saw the (Dixie) Dregs in college (1976) I bought a copy of the album The Great Spectular at that show. Ended up losing it to my roommate after graduation. Just read that only a thousand copies were printed. Ouch!

Take off the Top has recently been used as the background music in the Blue Angles video. Very approrpiate since
Steve is a pilot.
