Sometimes when I feel like a change I play quiet stuff!:D

I can also play technical stuff - if I turn the volume on the guitar down a couple of notches I get inbetweeny kinda Loud quiet sounds! :p

I play a combination of Blues, Alternative and Dance, often with Latin and Yugoslavian influences.

People often abreviate it though when they talk to me.

eg:
"hey Jim, you're playing badly again I hear?"

or
"How does this sound?"
"It sounds pretty bad if you ask me"

Hellecasters meets Zappa with a little Rundgren and the Tubes thrown in for good measure---did I mention Zevon? I like to play anything thats good----it all goes into the gumbo----I cant do the cover thing----only ever really been interested in being in original bands that write our own stuff. I 'll do a cover if I really think its a great song and the band I'm with can bring something new and original to it. Instrumentals are fun---but the stuff I really get into has some melodic vocal stuff goin on -----if harmonies can be pulled off---so much the better. I know if people have this look on their faces  when we're done ---I've done my job!!!!!

......whatever tommyindelaware counts off! :p :p :D

Seriously, a little of everything depending on the mood and the band. Mostly rock and country right now. Have played a lot of jazz, and some blues and a little funk. I like everything, as long is it's got a groove!

+1 on that Sharon!!!! Seriously I like just bout every type of music-----but when I go see a band especially---its got to be GROOVIN-------if it aint got a groove its time to pack up your s**t and go home!!!! We all instinctively know when somethins groovin and when its not------jazz,rock country, dieselbilly, gypsy music---famous band or unknown--if its groovin its groovin----if it aint it aint!!!!

My band plays all original rock music. We are often told that we sound a little bit like Rush (no wailing Geddy Lee vocals, though.. who else can hit those notes?). Think Red Barchetta-ish stuff. We write rock music with diverse influences (prog, folk, country, flamenco, metal, classic rock, new age, funk, blues). In the end it just sounds like rock to me.

We like a catchy little hook and a memorable chorus as well as the next band.
