What prompted you to order a Dargie Delight?

I was just looking at the sunburst Bongo that Derek posted and got to thinking about my upcoming DD SR5.

The color green isn't at all what caused me to consider a DD model bass. I'm not a huge fan of green but I don't dislike green either.

What really piqued my interest in the DD was the announcement of the martini glass inlays. That really yanked my chain. Up until that point, I hadn't intended to buy one at all.

Anyway, I know that Ray Duke had to have it because it was GREEN but I want to know what drove some others here to get one.

Green is not my favorite color but green can be a nice color and the DD green is really nice. No question the inlays are cool. But for me it was the fact that EBMM was putting together something special for us to have.

I ordered mine because it's too frickn' cool! But the big thing to me is BP is going to make me a lefty H/S Sterling (my dream bass)!

I can't wait!!!

I didn't want to order one at first - thought having martini's on my bass sent a wrong message to my young teen kids. Then I got swept up in the uniqueness of the bass and decided after the order window was closed, that I should get one. I was fortunate to find a Sterling HH that had not been spoken for.

Still swept up in the moment - I jumped on the chance to order another (B5HSP) when the window was graciously re-opened.

I so wanted to get one of these, but I really want an EBMM with a maple fretboard. I don't know if it's looks, feel or what, but I totally dig maple necks. Of course the only bass I had with a maple fretboard (non-EBMM) I traded away for my Bongo.

Nah only joking I was down the same lines as jack it was great thing for eb to offer and also to have a rare colour gives you a bit of a buzz as well

No, no that's so not me, Hey I play pretty much 4 to 5 gigs a week, so I do Play all these, just never get to play the same one twice very often, but hey it's all about fun right. I used to collect Cars, Least these are cheaper to purchase.

Yeah been going through this Sterling Kick Latley, been buying up all the Sparkles I can Find, Special Thanks to the forum Buddies they've sent me many a heads up on a bunch
of cool ones. Gotta have one of each at least.
