I for one love that Sterling and company did this for us! I love the subtle differences in each bass I own both in the looks and sonic qualities. The only problem I have is trying to justify the expenses to my wife! Luckily she supports my passion.

im feeling pretty dumb for not getting one :( dammit!!!!! what the hell was wrong with me?

errrrrrr!!!!

I feel stupiduerrrr. The inlays look great, and I didn't know about the DD's. I'm getting a Sterling HH, and I'm really happy about that. Should be a great bass. First brand new bass I've had since 1996. I think.

I actually prefer the maple fretboard as well. All of my Ernie Ball basses have a maple board except my Onyx and 30th Anniv. I think it complements the pickup to add that extra bite. I do agree that the inlays will probably show up on a rosewood board better and I don't mind the sound at all. I just cannot wait to get it!

Anyone here know where I can get a leather strap with Martini's or Olives on it? I may have to seek a custom maker for this one :D

+1... this is where having kids of my own would have come in handy as I could have sold them or sent them down the mines to earn me more money....

If a DD Sterling EVER turns up on eBay I'll be all over that baby...:)

Double Treble.

The reason why I ordered a DD is because I need a bass to match a strap.;)

I had to explain the martini story to the maker. Mine should be here next week.

Hey guys,

My digital camera has taken a dive on me, but when I get it replaced in the next couple of weeks I will share some pics. I am new here, but have been playing Ernie Balls since 1996 and loving them! Since I am new to forums, how do I go about posting those pics?

It is great to be here and see so many other people who share my passion. :D

By the way, I used to play with a guitarist that always used to quote lines from "Silence of the Lambs", guess it kind of stuck in my head. :D

Just open an account on somewhere like Photobucket. Then upload your pics, and then paste the URL that it gives you in tags into your post. And voila, pic will appear on the page! :D

Still can't wait to see the pics tho ;)

I ordered mine because I sold the Sterling I had and regretted it and wanted another one.
I also just thought the martini glass inlays were so cool and I loved the green color plus it’s a limited edition type thing. I would have regretted not ordering one. :D
