Wow! Classic Wall of Deaf.. A bit of a Cliff Burton fan perhaps?

:D This was my original wall of deaf. I was inspired by several pros to have one clean and one dirty rig. It was a bit much....

And this is my recording rig.

Actually - the vintage Acoustic heads are as loud as the Ampeg SVT4-Pro. All the EQs on the Ampeg make tone a bit more granular. But - there is unreal punch in that 370 head.

For big shows - Mesa V-12 with either the RR 4x10 or (2) Avatar 2x12s. Will be upgrading the Avatars to Dr. Bass 2460 & LF 15 "whenever they're delivered" (if you know Dr. Bass..). It's a stupid heavy rackmount setup but as has been noted, Bongo + Mesa = Good. You can see it in the upper left hand corner of the larger picture.

Small shows used to be a MarkBass LMII, but I just took delivery of a MoMark - 500w chassis with the SS preamp, 4-band EQ, and I'll run that through either one of the Avatar 2x12s or a small Avatar 1x12.
Someone earlier in the thread had asked about Avatar cabs; great value for the money. Get the Line-X coating and don't worry, be happy.

And yes, that's a rare beast I'm holding, 2004 LTD Radiance Red Bongo with a black headstock - that's the way Poppa made it.

For gigs without FOH system: Bose L1 system with 4 sub woofers and an extra A1 power amp.

For gigs with FOH: Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 with 2 Phil Jones 4b Cabs.

Rehearsal: Phil Jones Suitcase

At home practice: Phil Jones Flightcase.

You guys have all got seriously loud equipment - and I thought my Ashdown ABM 500 rig was loud.........well that's what all the guitarists say :D

I used to get told the same thing! :D

I knew I'd won the arms race when both the drummer AND the guitarist asked me if I could turn down :D

Seriously though, we usually got the balances pretty good, mostly keying off the vocals.

I use an Eden WT550 @ 2 ohm/750w - with a two 4 ohm cabs - D210XST and D212XLT. The picture is old but my rig is basically unchanged. Note the hang tag still on my then new 2006 LE Ray!

I have 3 full Bass Rigs, Big, Medium, and Small And they all sound fantastic.

Big, Mesa Boogie Bass 400+ Into an 8 ohm SWR 4x12

Medium, Aguilar DB-359 into one or two 8 ohm Avatar Neo 2x12

Small, Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout 12" Combo.

I can also pull the Walkabout Head out of the combo and use it to drive one of the Avatar Cabs.

Lots of versatility in a pretty small package.

I'll post pics as soon as i can.

First, love that Acoustic 370 ...brings back memories of getting the cab to fit into the back seat of my AMC Matador years ago.

...years later, a much easier rig to schlep includes a GB SM12, two Acme B2II cabs, along with a Bongo 5HH fretless and a Lakeland 55-94.
