What rigs are you guys running?

That one:

..but just the Peavey Pro Bass 500 (inbetween the ampegs) belongs to me, sometimes to be replaced with a Genz Benz shuttle 6.0

Currently, this.... I really really like it.

Markbass MoMark T1M Pre -> EQ7G -> MVVL -> 500W Analog Frame into Epifani Performance Series PS210 and PS115

It can do beautiful and/or brutal things... :)

How's that 210 & 115 combo treating you? Thinking of getting an extension cab, and wondering if it should be a 115 or a 210...

Anyway, here's mine.

Definitely a drool-worthy thread!

I noticed a lot of you are running different speaker types, for example 1x15 with 2x10's. I heard on another forum that mixing speaker sizes causes smoke kind of phasing issues. Anyone ever heard of it, or experienced it with different sized speakers?

I'm looking to buy new cabs this week (Markbass), so I do have a vested interest here. :D

So, on some other forums you would be led to believe that the end of the world will come if you run a mixed cab setup.

Scientifically, the theory they use is 100% correct and there is a chance it will sound like crapola at different angles and distances. They also say speaker size has nothing to do with frequency response (the enclosure, etc dictates that).

It is true that you should probably try before you buy a mixed cab setup, and that you will have more consistent results with two of the same cab (you know it's going to sound like a single cab but just more).

BUT I think my 2x10+1x15 setup sounds amazing. My 1x15 goes lower on the freq range and you can feel the low B. The 2x10 adds definition and clarity, and they work together great.

Short answer, try it before you spend the coin, it might sound horrible but it might sound great. When it comes to any of this stuff only let Internet advice guide you so far, and then use your ears.

Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 and Neox 212... looking for a nice single 15 for smaller gigs as the 12's FILL up everything I play in.

I'm running a simple Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0-12T combo and it works great with my 5 string Bongos and Big Al. Great tone.

My old setup...how do you like it?

It's probably the best combo I've used. I've been through MANY amps. Everything from 80 pound all tube head beasts, through Eden, GK, Ampeg, Aguilar, EA, Mesa, Trace Elliot, etc.

I have recurrent back and knee problems, and the combination of extreme light weight, and great tone, with more than sufficient volume, makes the Shuttle stuff absolutely perfect for me.

I love this old thread. LOL here is mine. Still playing the same thing.

Hi guys,
here's my combo:

I love it: 1 12AU7 Valve for the preamp, 1x eminence 15" and 220 watts, 1x balanced line out ... 69 pounds
