Hello everyone! I have a question for the owners of Ernie Ball Earthwood Acoustic Bass. It's in the title. Are there any specific strings that in your opinion work better than others? If so, what's your choice of stings and why?

Thank you!

As far as I can tell, all acoustic bass guitar strings out there are Phosphor Bronze wrap, so they'll all sound pretty similar no matter who makes them. But each brand may have their own ratio of core to wrap diameters so even at the same nominal string gauge they'll each play a little different under the fingers. Only one way to find out what works best for you. Suck 'em and see!

I imagine most people stick with Earthwood-type phosphor bronze strings, since that's what the bass was designed for. After that, it probably mainly affects the string tension and feel; some people even stick exclusively with the original recommended sets.
