What style of Music / Currently playing with a group?
Just curious about the style of music (rock, country, blues, christian, oldies, etc.) that is your main focus now. Also, are you currently playing with a group? This may make an interesting discussion.

im not in a band. which is sad. i used to be and we played raw ska. think ska but without horns. if given the choice now i would play something along the lines of heavy/ alternative rock or metal. think chevelle and mudvayne.

I currently play in a Christian Rock band, and a Praise and Worship band. I also record when called and give lessons.

Far Cry is my original rock band. We play our own music which sounds like classic rock/southern rock. At one time or another, I have played country, jazz, pop, reggae, blues, alternative, metal etc. with bands.

Doghollar is the band I play with. Southern Rock, Country and some blues. Maybe almost any cover that gets requested. With some rockabilly originals tossed in.

I currently play in what is described down here as a "party band" playing rock covers from today back to the 60's. Most of the tunes we cover are recent or current hits, with a sprinkling of great retro songs.

Red Rum was the name of this country's most famous racehorse...

I'm in Visitor, follow the link in my sig.

I also dig Ska (although my sound doesn't belie it), and would love to play in a Ska/Reggae band, but White Reggae don't do so good..... :)

Mostly blues and roots....playing "light" jazz on the upright tonight...sometimes a little bluegrass
I regularly play in a blues trio wth band Roger Howse band.We cover a lot of ground. I also play with Andrew Gillis and the Sho' Nuffs and we do a range of trad blues grooves ( nice harp driven band -electric and upright for me).Every Sunday night I play in the Bearly's Sunday night Jam band...we host an open mike. Players from different bands make up that one - it can be a lot of fun.Every once in a while I get to do a bluegrass gig on the upright. There are a couple of lineups that I do that just do accasional gigs and I sub for some other friends. I only play here in town now as a rule -I gave up the travel years ago. I have been in the blues and roots scene here for a long time and have been fortunate to play with some truly wonderfull musicians.I am thankfull the phone still rings.

I primarily play in my church's English Ministry praise team. We play hymnals and praise songs, but nothing too energetic (our EM is a very lethargic bunch so happy, fast-paced, energetic songs are almost like taboo :( ). I also play in a Christian rock band called Six Steps that rarely meets, whose choice of songs are a bit more lively so it's a welcome change.

I am in a Pittsburgh band that plays all originals- a thankless and payless job, here! (but I ain't complainin')

We are influenced by a lot of underground 80s and 90s music, on the European side (early 4AD, the Cocteau Twins, Lush, early Cure to name a few).

Electric and upright together. Shades of Brian Wilson in that. I bet that will rock.
