I only ask because a few of you, hell make that ALL of you have concerns about my wardrobe or lack there of.

I have already promised to wear clothes, but that covers a lot of territory (not a fat joke).
Right now I’m wearing a t-shirt and worn-out shorts covered in Barbie pink paint, (I’m painting my daughters room), and I don’t think would be cool.

So I’m open to suggestions, I want to “fit in”. What is “in” in the bass player fashion world?

I’m getting really jazzed about this trip and ever since the cutoff date I’ve been lying to all my friends when they ask how I get to go. My favorite story has been that I’m a personal friend of Big Poppa and we met in a Mexican prison, then escaped and went to South America because we bought a cheap compass that pointed the wrong way…

This is an excerpt from the info that Blair sent to me:

Appropriate Attire:
Friday night is at a Country Club…Please wear appropriate clothing, preferably something other than jeans.

Saturday at the Factory I recommend jeans and a t-shirt; you MUST wear closed toed shoes (tennis shoes/sneakers are ideal).

Saturday night at the Madonna Inn Expo you can wear whatever you would like. It does get cold at night so I recommend bring a jacket/sweater of some sort.

I flung that quote up, too, to which BP responded that apparently Blair wasn't there for the BP take on country club attire. He told the CC people that it was a combination cowboy/Big Chill costume party or something like that.

So, final word - it isn't necessary to dress like an accountant.

Toga and cowboy boots?

Well, that would certainly make the rest of us experience the "big chill" part of the theme. :D

Mobay, Blair posted a new thread this morning in the Ernie Ball Special Events section. It has updated wardrobe cues.

All kidding aside for a sec......How about black Levi's and a golf/polo type shirt? I work in an office and this is pretty much how I dress every day.

I'm bringing a small suitcase so I don't have to deal with baggage check, so I won't have room for alternate outfits in case I get it wrong. I also won't have time to change Friday as i'm arriving at 5:00, so what I wear on the plane is what I wear to the shindig.

Are black (unfaded) jeans acceptable?

No, No, No!!! You've all got to wear matching pink tuxedos with black velvet collars and a handsome rendition of a Bongo emroidered on the back. BP will supply them upon your arrival.

Maybe all the people who are planning to play at the jam should look into matching gold, shiny "Sha-Na-Na" outfits? ;)
