just out of curiosity. i myself am a huge fan of green on a stingray i think it works best in green but thats my thought, however i heard green basses sell slower than any other color which got me to wondering. which colour sold the lowest ammount? was there anything so garish that it was barely ordered/made?

Peach. I think only Tony Levin ordered one.

Oli there are a handful of Peach ones in Gav's database (SR4s I think). Both MM Nut and myself want to buy one though!! There was a previous thread on peach coloured Rays and someone on the forum posted pictures of one they had back in the 90s.

I'm guessing Butterscotch is rarer - this was one of three 'special' colours offered on the SR4 and SR5 in the early 90s (the others were trans white and vintage sunburst - the standard sunburst colour offered was what we now know as honeyburst).

Anyone got a butterscotch one (MM Nut perhaps?)

From the limited color offerings currently available, it appears anything even slightly out of the ordinary didn't sell worth a damn.

That Lavender SR5 is gorgeous. Didn't you also have a White Sparkle Sterling? Or was that someone else? ...either way that's gotta be a rare one. I have never seen another Autumn Redrise bass other than the one I had. That is an INCREDIBLE finish.

I recall offering the sparkly Sterling to you at one time or other as a trade for your autumn redrise. I miss that Sterling so I put the feelers out on the basschat forum to see if anyone knew its whereabouts but nothing came back.
Fire engine red is another rare one. There was one on ebay lasy year which sold for a fair few quid under the going rate. I was sorely tempted and had the cash but didnt bite
