I think it's the colour the bass player from Less Than Jake has on his sterling

I can vividly remember seeing a stingray in a split pea soup greenish color back in the late 90s at a shop in Pa. It was pretty gross looking, and i wanted it so bad. Ive always loved strange looking or beat up guitars, and this was one was so gross looking that i felt i had to have it. I think it may have been a transparent color, possibly the one on the sterling pictured above. ^^^^^

I'm guessing there weren't many Pearl Purple sold either. It was only a colour option for a couple of years .....

I love mine! I have a matching headstock maple board 5er in Pearl Purple. I am one of the ones who didn't have any money back when the sparkles first came out or I would have bought more then. That's life though!

I recall offering the sparkly Sterling to you at one time or other as a trade for your autumn redrise.

Ah so it was you! I have possibly the worst memory of anyone ever, so I forgot. At the time I literally couldn't give up that redrise, even though I desperately wanted a Sterling. I change my mind A LOT.

The description that sticks in my mind for Heinz was "sinus infection green."
