Whats everyones fav amp?

Then again, it's my only amp, so it should be.

I'd say the Engl Invader. I don't have one, but it is unreal. That and the Diezel VH4 are just beyond sick.

ALL OF THEM! (Axe-FX II). I use a ton of different amp models in my patches, but my bread and butter patches are Mesas. I always loved the Rectos since I used to work in a music shop back in high school but couldn't justify the purchase at the time. Now I have access to all of them The mark IV and IIC+ amp models in this thing are fantastic too.

I love my Mesa Rectoverb 50 head (series II), it's got exactly what I need in terms of tones (I use the clean and vintage channel). TC Flashback mini and Helix in the loop.

For a different flavour I'm hoping to add a Mark IV soon for mark tones

Gotta love all the different amps different folks like!! Surprised the little Yamaha amps came up a few times........ Awesome to know. That said, loved my Blackstar HT 40........... Until I got a Mark V.

For practice, the Yamahas are brilliant. So are the Blackstar ID series. My son has the ID15 and I keep stealing it when cranking the PT100 just isn't practical.

The rectoverbs (and Minirectifiers) have four different stages, two on clean (very clean, bluesy clean) and two on gain (vintage gain, modern gain) making it one of the most versatile amps you could bring to gigs. Especially as it's extremely hard to imitate the Mesa Boogie modern gain sound with pedals or with other amps.

Good comment, I totally agree! I demoed the Mark V and the (mini-) Rectoverb in a store and found that i liked them equally much so i couldn't decide until I found a great used Rectoverb 50 with 6L6s... so that became my amp. If you buy them used they also hold their value very well so it's a good investment imo. The rectifiers are a great series, very versatile. Too bad they're "stereo-typed" too often.

My Mesa Boogie Dual Recto never lets me down.

I use the matching 4x12 cab for most gigs or a Friedman 2x12 (both V30 loaded) for smaller gigs.

But...... If I didn't have that?

I would buy the EVH 50 watt and 2x12 cab and call it a day.

Oh and I use a Blackstar ID for home practice. Lots of useful tones there. And that "stereo spread" is amazing !!

My purple stripe Boogie MK III 1x12. Nothing else I've played has been able to cover as much stylistic ground the way that I want it to. Whether it's at bedroom levels, clubs, or concert halls, this amp takes the cake and it was cheap. Silo spec + dimarzio areas + MK iii = MAGIC!!!
