Actually, by stating that you would be interested in obtaining an unused body, you implied that you were serious about your inquiry...
I simply thought that that would be the best way to phrse the question, as that's part of what I was curious about, maybe my words were a bit mixed up, as I suppose I meant "if one were interested" but I chose to use "I" instead, because it flowed better for me. I'm sorry for the confusion, but I didn't mean it like that in any way.

I was really just asking a question that I felt was interesting, I didn't expect a serious "yeah, we'll sell this to you" reply, or all this uncalled for rudeness and hate.

If you'll point out the rudeness and hate, I'll go and edit it out.

It's cool, Nacho. You didn't know, so you asked. Of course we have bodies that have problems with the finish or wood grain that is less than attractive, but due to our high quality control standards, these don't see the light of day.

So anyhow, the '07 LE's are shipping already! I can't believe how fast these things are flying out of the factory -- I can feel the Blue Dawn sparkles whizzing past my head as I type this!

That is the first time that Beth has used the words "whizzing past my head" on a public forum

Nacho....When I bought Music Man in 1984 one of the first rules I had was that if it wasnt fgreat it would get cut in half.

It does seem like a good thread. But no, your question doesn't warrant its own.

I knew that already, that's why I stated it in my post, no need to repeat it to emphasise in such a rude manner.

So far, so good. Listen, I'm not an EBMM employee, nor do I play one on TV, but what you're asking for amounts to:

- if you guys make something ugly, can I have it cheap?
- it would be like a limited edition, only I wouldn't have to pay for it!
- or wait for it!

You boiled down my question in a blunt as well as wrong fashion. Yes, i admit, i phrased it wrong, but there was no need to re-state it like that, and imply that I meant anything in that sense, becuase it was just a question i had abotu the process, with no intention to offend or be a serious question in those regards.

Let me go ahead and answer the question for you so you don't have to get annoyed at any actual employees: No.

Hope that helps!

Once again, you make an implication about my character, saying that I would get annoyed at an employee for answering my question in any other way than a 'yes' when all I wanted to know about was the process, like, I was just curious about how the basses were made and dealt with; but, like I've said, i wasn't really clear in my original post, so i understand it could have been interpreted like that, but there was still no need for the rudeness of that post.

And then adouglas added in the "HECK," followed by stating that 'colorful explitives' could be added, which is also hateful and unneeded, even if meant in good humor.

Okay, well, I'm not looking for enemies or anything like that on this forum, as I'm really in love with EBMM, and have been saving up for a Stingray since Christmas (poor University student). I was just curious, and that's that. I am sorry my question seemed 'wrong' but that was not my intention in the least, sorry.

Thank you Beth and BP, and all the others for answering my question, I'm sorry for all this trouble I caused. I am just a curious fan.

A sensitive curious fan. Jack's mentioning that an employee would probably upset you was tonguer and cheek implying that I might not be as tactful. ADouglas was emphasising that we only sell firsts and not hate.

Go to a private place and take three breaths and realize that nobody meant any harm and jack was to the point but not mean. Toughen up, soldier!

It's like YOU'RE INSIDE MY HEAD.

Which is uncomfortable, given the size differences.

Nacho, in no way did I think I was rude or hateful, and I have quite a bit of experience being both. I just wanted you to realize what your questions implied and why the concept wasn't going to fly.

I realize now I was being over sensitive, and I'm sorry for that too. I was expecting a simple reply about the process, etc. and did not realize what my question was implying. I wrote it on a whim of light hearted curiosity, and not looking for some sort of deal or anything. Sorry I over-reacted, and sorry my question was misworded, and sorry or taking up so much of this thread. Can we let bygones be bygones? :) ?

I envision really interesting company picnic bonfires...toasting marshmallows over flaming Stingrays....:eek::eek:

Any of 'em feel Bongo-shaped? (Just kidding...I know mine's heading out ASAP if it hasn't already.)

Welcome aboard, Nacho! Text ain't the best way to communicate emotion. Most folk around these parts are good folk so look on the positive side of a post. We done pretty much run off the bad ones. To quote one of many wacky authors, "Buy the ticket, take the ride."
