Oh hell, you're really going to force me to go find this thing and mail it, aren't you?

okay, okay, where's my email.

I've already given you an out, so if you don't want to trade, that's cool. But, I mean---what the heck else do you have to fill roughly 13 hours of awake time, Mr Retired Person?

A lefty purple sparkle (or a 'normal' sparkle like Carvin's Harlequin Prismatique) EBMM Sterling with matching headstock and rosewood neck. No pickguard. Purple front and side LED's.

I would get a Martini Olive/Python PG, 5 strings Bongo, HH with piezo, rosewood neck. I really love that color, and it would gave me the opportunity to get a 5er.

be careful. i think thats bovine's bass. he might have to hunt you down if you got one.

Isn't Envy green darker as the martini olive green ? I think so, so I still could hope for it without fearing the Lord's anger.

Anyway Bov', as I dont have any money to buy a new bongo (considering it should have piezzos), you'll only have to hunt me in your dreams.

Tis true. Of course, you could probably scrape some of the nylon off at the bridge so the piezo elements could get their precious grounding from the metal strings they so desire.

Hey Bassmonkeee,

Could this also be an issue with using coated strings, as I currently use Dr's "Red-Coated over Silver/Stainless Steel Wrap on Round Core" strings. I use them on most of my basses and they sound great. I just put a set on my SR5 w/ piezos this past weekend, and while they sounded very good as well, I noticed that while tapping on the A & D strings, the sound wasn't quite right and was inconsistent with the other strings, which wasn't the case just before I changed the original strings that she came with.

I was thinking maybe a defective A & D in the set, but could the coating cause any issues, as I have my piezes dialed in anywhere from half on to 3/4 on.

a music man bongo 5 with HHH (thats right 3 pick-ups) desert gold fading to black at the edges or blue tye dye, . and a custom symbol (my custom iron cross) in the backgrond in silver. and to top it off a black ice pick guard, maybe white ice, or plain black pg.
#2 the first color idea with blue pearl as the main color

hey pookeymp, those black and red coated strings are iffy for me too. sometimes theres to much color coat on them and it realy kills the string. its happend to me a few times, then i just went back to my beloved hybrid slinks

Hey Shaver,

I hear ya...I really love the way those colors look on my basses, but I have noticed some inconsistency between sets, and some inconsistency between strings within the same set. It appears my problem isn't related to the coating and the piezos, I believe it's just the strings themselves. Oh well, I'll either go back to the GHS Super Steels that I was using previously, or maybe I will put another set of Slinkys on...because the strings she came with was great sounding.

In terms of my dream bass, I think I want a fretless match for my current SR5, so I would go for another one in Vintage Sunburst, white pearloid pickguard, piezos, fretless fingerboard, natural headstock.

If I somehow won 2 custom basses, then the next one I would have fun with:
SR5
24 frets
Width @ Nut: 1 3/4"
Width @ Last Fret: 3"
Body Wood: Mahogany
Top Laminate: half Cocobola and half Quilted Maple
Spalted Purpleheart Fingerboard
Fingerboard LED inlays spelling out "Mikey's" that stretches from the 15th to the 3rd fret
Side LED's
MM Humbucking
Piezo
Midi/Synth Pickup

I think that would do it.
