You see, I find that interesting. I bought both my EBMMs at L&M at one of the stores that actually knew what they were talking about and knew the product. They had lots in stock and cared. Their after sales service was also excellent.

I was thankful that they picked up the EBMM line because I didn't want to shop at the other alternative at Queen st in T.O.. Not my favorite place to shop. Big time attitudes there. :)

Yep, I know the exact Queen St store you are talking about. I've never liked that place. I know a lot of people that have the same opinion as us.

It all depends which sales guy you talk to. Some know their stuff, others don't.

At the L&M Mississuaga there are two guys I know I can rely on. At other L&M's the guys in the bass department wouldn't know a flat round from ground round.

Yeah, the Mississauga store is pretty good. So is the one Adam mentioned on Steeles Ave. The one in Oshawa is pretty good, too.

L&M in Mississauga is pretty good - very helpful when I ordered my first Super Sport. And, overall good with helping me spend my $$$ ;)
Gotta say, the Guitar Shop in Port Credit is o.k. too for the Ernie Ball shopping.

I think they mean the store just East of Spadina. There are two just West of Bathurst, buy they sell a lot of (overpriced) used stuff and don't have too much attitude ;)

I bought my Silo at Steve's, I ordered it and had to wait a year or so.

However, I suggest the 12th Fret, they didn't carry EBMM when I bought the Silo but they speak highly of EBMM now ("the best solid body guitars we carry" -check the web-site) and carry them.

Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette

Always great service there, knowledgeable staff and just all around nice guys.

It's a small world, Hook. The 12th Fret and The Guitar Shop in Mississauga are my "GO TO" shops for EBMM stuff. Both are very good stores to deal with. I like to spread my love around.:D :p  And for those in the Oshawa area, MeanAx Music just become EBMM dealers. Family run business. The owner is a very nice guy to deal with.

Thanks Scott, I live in Whitby now so I'll have to check them out, never heard of MeanAX. I didn't realize EBMM was getting so popular too, when I bought the Silo , I think Steve was the only dealer in the GTA.

I don't shop at the Fret much anymore, but I have very fond memories of their old store in Scarborough.

I took their build-a-guitar course when I was in high school (me and my dad) and went there couple of nights a week to work on it- did everything from carving the body to putting the truss rod in the neck, putting in the frets, you name it. Awesome memories. My dad passed away a year or two later, but to this day when I think of him I remember our guitar project at the 12th Fret.

I've said that too and end up with another bass, just ask my wife!:D :D

So Scott what was the outcome?

Hey Dave,

Actually got a chance to get up there last Friday. Saw the lava pearl silo special. It's actually a very cool colour. It more orangey than red. The Silo Special had a piezo, too. Very nice guitar. Also checked out the used buttercream Silo Special. It's in very good condition. I was actually proud of myself. I walked out with no balls.:) It was tough, but I made it.

I was actually at the Guitar Shop on Saturday. Dave said I missed you by one day. The Dargie deliveries are gettin' close.

The Dargie deliveries are gettin' close.

I don't need a calendar to know this.
I can tell it's getting closer because I'm suddenly able to climb walls and have nervous twitches, and am getting the shakes and am playing extra amounts of air guitar and charting the fastest way to get from Windsor to Mississauga and have my gas tank full at all times and am visiting this forum way way way way too much and am craving olives more often and know that if I had turrets would be screaming Dargie profanities and find myself babbling on and on amount stupid nothings!

Doctor. Is this behaviour normal just before getting one's first Ernie Ball Music Man?????? :D

Guitar Shop says hey

Thank-you for all your support over the years gang !
You guys (although I don't know all of you) are great pals of The G-Shop, and its nice to be able to offer you EBMM product. 3 G-Shop's now carry the line, and we have a whack-'o'-guitars and basses on order. The "BFR" gear is rocking....
My 1st EBMM was an original EVH Axis, #380 to be precise, Trans Amber, bridge p/u was microphonic so I called Dudley and he hooked me up!
thanks again
