What ever happened to that stunning Classic Stingray 5 in Tobacco Sunburst with the killer birds eye maple board and neck? Who was the lucky recipient?

I have spoken with Robbie (great guy!) and am getting the Classic Natural that he has.

Thanks also to Mr Light for his encouragement. I'm partial to lighter basses but since this Natural weighs the same as my SR5 I'm pretty sure I can handle it. And if it looks as good as Mr Light's then I know I'll be happy. Looking forward to NBD!

I dealt with Robbie after tracking down one of the rare CAR classics and he was great to deal with. I would highly recommend him.

I've got it good.

I work just a few miles from that GC. My two StingRays came from there. I guess I didn't realize that they had more stock than most dealers. I guess I've got it good.

I spent my spare time over the past two weeks, driving/riding around Florida looking at Stingray Classics. My journey took to me to 4 Guitar Centers and then finally to Bass Central. I pulled the trigger on a coral red, birdseye/birdsye maple one at Bass Central. My goal was to find one with the most stunning maple, either birdseye or flame and that was the winner :) Their pics are still up on the site but do not do the bass any justice. I'll take some better photos and post them ASAP.

It's the first Stingray I've had in several years and I really missed having one. It plays like a dream and sounds fantastic. I couldn't be happier!!! Now my son wants me to get a 5 string Classic :D

Hey Robbie,

Nice first post:) See you soon.

Guys Robbie is a stand up guy, true pro, and all around great person and will bend over backwards to help with whatever you need, dont hesitate to call him and if you ever get the chance stop in the North Dallas store to see him.

FL Knifemaker, sweet bass! I loved the neck on that one in the basscentral photos, yours are even better! Great choice on pickguard - I've got an aged pearl pickguard, too, now all I need is to get a Classic!

Thanks guys!! Again, I couldn't be happier. It really plays like a dream. I'm going to try another round of photos later. I'm not too wild about the ones above. If I get better ones, I'll switch them out.

Congrats on a beautiful bass. How about some pictures of the back of the neck.
