Craig, I have admired the little flourish you did after the line "...and I was meant for you," since that song came out. It's cool to know finally who did that.

I remember also (before I knew Jack by sight) asking once "what kind of bass was played on Steely Dan's "Gaslighting Abbie?" Stingray 5. Good Lord, what a machine. It do it all. One pickup, no waiting.

I was born and raised in Nashville. So many country stars were just neighbors. I remember going to play Open Mics there and seeing so many people who just oozed talent and skill. The idea of moving to another city to start a music career scares the pee out of me.

I really enjoyed going to the open mics cause I was just there to have fun (along with displaying mad guitar instrumental skills). Once me (I'm not real small) and Buzz (a big boy) rode the bus to go all the way across town to go play at the Bluebird Cafe' (suppose to be famous and people get discovered there). We did a bass duet (me on fretless) of an original song of his and some pink floyd.
