I don't own any Ernie Ball basses, but I really want to get one (to start with!), and I need some advice.
I like 5-strings, but when I have tried Stingrays, the 4-strings seem to have more punch and life, especially on the E string. Is this anybody else's experience also? I like a low B string, but I don't want to sacrifice a massive-sounding E like some 5 string basses do...
I would like to get a 2-humbucker model, what are the differences between the Stingray HH and the Bongo HH? Sound, feel, and playability-wise, I mean.
I'm going to start checking out EB basses in stores, but I would appreciate some advice from all of you wise elder-types.
