Try the E on the 5th fret of the B string.
You won't be disappointed!

Any 2 pickup model is gonna give you a lot of versatility, I like the HS and the HH. I'd play a couple bongos and rays and sterlings, then go with what feels best.

I will definitely post when I get one...

And don't hate me... This won't be my first bass, just my first Ernie Ball. My first bass (almost 25 years ago) was a Pearl, I think that trumps a Peavy.

I'll have to wait for a bit to get the cash up, I'm expecting delivery of a (almost) brand-new Aguilar DB750 today... Can't wait!!!
 
If you liked the Stingray i think you'll love a 5 strings SUB, i think it sounds more like a regular Ray than the SR5.

i think i can go one worse, my first bass bass a Kay -it looked like a Gibson SG but had a plywood body & flat wounds.unfortunately i don't have any pics of it for you guys to laugh at.

My first bass was a Kay, too. Short scale with flatwounds, before I even knew there were different types of string. I bought it for £15 from the son of my physics teacher. Man, that bass was a piece of s%*t. It wasn't long until I graduated onto a Westone Thunder I. After the Kay that was a dream to play.
 
I am also in the market for a 5 string and i believe i have found the bass for me its a honey burst stingray five single humbucker. its still got that stingray boom but its still got plenty of high end. now all i need to do is save up a bit more money :)

i hope you can find a bass that all u want to do is just sit there and play it lol

I think a Stingray is more like the Starship Enterprise from Star Trek, it's classic and gets the job done.

The Bongo is like the Excesior, strange looking but bad a$$.
