So i have a lot of musicians and bands i love but not all of them play EBMM guitars/basses. I thought it would be fun to see which artists we all would like to see playing our fav. instruments.

So here's a few folks off the top of my head:

Billie Joe Armstrong (guitar - Green Day)
Jake Kiley & Jordan Burns (the two guitarists from Strung Out)
Matt Freeman (bassist - Rancid)

Jimmy Page

Duck Dunn

Oh, HELL yes!

Max Webster kicked ass! That first album can't be beat! We used to open our shows with "Hangover" from that one.

Hey Guys we profiled Kim back in 2004. He is endorsed and just yesterday Kim was playing his Music Man Axis at the Long and Mc Quade 50th anniversary bash in Toronto.

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (August 11, 2004) - Canadian musician Kim Mitchell, one of the most prolific makers of hit records in Canada, is an ardent fan of the Music Man Axis Super Sport, using it as his main stage instrument for the past two years.

Mitchell plays the Axis Super Sport with Music Man's optional Piezo equipped bridge system, which gives him the flexibility to play acoustic guitar parts (without having to change guitars) and to mix them in with his electric pickups, adding extra dimension to his sound.

Mitchell got his start in the 1970s with the band Max Webster, which earned a place in the hearts of music fans with songs like Let Go The Line and A Million Vacations. Mitchell had a string of solo hits in the 1980s including Go for a Soda, which received international airplay. With songs proven to have durable appeal, he gained a reputation as Canada's premier good-time rocker, and also received three Juno Awards. Mitchell continues to be a major draw on the summer touring circuit. His last album, Kimosabe, came out in 1999.

The Ernie Ball Company was the first to offer rock strings with the creation of Slinkys, and further revolutionized the market by offering guitarists Custom-Gauge single strings. Ernie Ball also produces Music Man guitars and basses, volume pedals, and other accessories. Strings and accessories are available in more than 5,500 music stores throughout the U.S. and in 75 countries. For more information, contact the Ernie Ball Company at (800) 543-2255.

I used to get drunk as hell and watch Max Webster in "The Penny Arcade" in Rochester, NY in the early 70's.

I play a StingRay
Our guitar player plays a Luke

so i'd like:

our keyboarder play an EBMM keyboard
our drummer play EBMM drums (maybe you can use the same woods?)
our singer play an EBMM acoustic guitar (new market for EB?)

:D

The Paisley Signature model!

This may have been mentioned numerous times, but I'm really lazy and wanted to mention it again:

Brad Paisley needs his own signature guitar. He plays enough EBMMs. damn it, he should drop those Crooks goons, and come play with us over here. He sure can make an Axis sing. Has anyone heard his rock 'em sock 'em tones and solos on his new album?

I'm normally not a country kinda guy; but that man makes me want to two step my way into the guitar store to smash Teles!

+1000 on Paisley!!!! Magic player!! In my Top 5 all time favourites. I love his playing, his sound is all tele though, but he does use Axis SS's with MM90's too sometimes. Time Well Wasted is a brilliant cd, he always has a few superb instrumentals to keep us guitarists happy, and amazed!!!

i've wanted a tele for ages, all because of Paisley and Brent Mason, but i got my sunburst Axis SS MM90 instead, and it does a decent tele growl, but i think an Albert Lee might do the trick.

andy timmons

he is a very great player, has very good personality(i don't know why, but i think this is also important), he has awesome tones in his songs.. and he is a very creative song writer..

i know that he's already endorsed with ib*nez, but i just think he will be really great and match with musicman,

mm..i don't know, but i think he is not an ib*nez person..
because i don't know why he designed an ib*nez guitar that really different with the other ib*nez model(even the signature models) : different neck, different pick ups, different wood, different bridge, different tuner, only the headstock is the same with other model.. :)

you can check his model in the store and you'll find it very different with other model..

just wondering it would be great if he use that mesa boogie stiletto with an ebmm AT.. :)

i love Timmons' playing, its brilliant, a true all round player, can do anything he wants. His new cd is just great. seems like the perfect style of player to be with EBMM, oh well, i have played the AT sig Ibanez once, it was pretty good! Not like any other Ibanez ive played, it was classy, kind of like the Luke in many ways. very versatile.

Who I would love to see...

To reply to the last comment, Flea just doesn't look right at all come to think of it. That man needs to spend a little less money on the *sniff*sniff* and maybe look into a shirt. Back in my day, we had respect! As for Mr. Timmons, we'll not see him steer clear of Ibanez, because he's on Vai's label. There's some sort of "you touch mine I'll touch yours" vibe going on there, so that won't be happening.

I think a Bullseye Axis would look stellar with two EMGs for Zakk Wylde. To throw in just that little bit of cheese, to put in some ridiculously shiny fret markers (rectangle bars maybe) would be that muchly needed touch of class.

I think Johnny Hiland should steer clear of PRS because there's something inherently wrong with playing country on what looks like a fancied up Custom 24. He should be playing on the new JH6 model with three tele pickups, and shinier than Satriani's head. I think that'd be incredible beyond incredible.

I also think Joe Walsh should be playing EBMMs. He is just the coolest, and deserves better than he currently has. has anyone ever listened to "Life's Been Good"?! That says it all. +1000 for Joe Walsh... (can I + my own comments?)

I think that says it all for now. Again though, +1000000 for Brad Paisley. If EBMM made a super awesome Tele-type guitar (or at least offered a Silhouette Special or Albert Lee sig. with two Tele-style pickups like Danny Gatton uses or something) then all the country folk would be lining up to own one!

That's just my two cents. It's worth a dollar though... you do the math.

+1 on Hiland, doesnt he look odd with a PRS, with his style. A Hiland EBMM would be amazing, he and Paisley along with Albert would be an amazing trio. there's a few of us now here who lust for a ultra tele style ball........unless of course the AL just is that already.
