2. I never was great at tapping, but with the new bass I'd like to try to get batter, any tips for technique or tone settings? (I want to be able to play the Stu Hamm/Alva star spangled banner for real)

Hey guys! I know you'll see it but just in case, I've just posted a tapping mini-course. Check it out!

WOW this thing is nuts. I love the extra pick up and all the tones I can get. I've barely used her at all but i thought you guys should know!!! It looks great too. Here are some pics that Steve/Dude took.

P.S. Today I got my drivers license today too, so it was pretty much the greatest day ever!!!!

P.P.S. If somebody could post some of these pics on this thread that'd be great. I don't know how.

Hey guys, just to update, the entirety of my jazz band was salivating over my new sterling. Even the drummers, keaboardists, and sax players were all over it.

It looks even better now that I realized that there was plastic over the pickguard and removed it :D

I don't know why, but having this sterling has really made me want a ray, or a 5 string. I thought I would be happy with one bass... NOW I JUST WANT THEM ALL. Oh well, maybe when I'm rich and famous....

Oh, I know why. If this one is so good, how good would X be? I've had them all, Sterlings, Stingrays, Bongos.....and while I've decided that I am definitely, well, you know, "Lord Bongo" and all....I can't help myself. Every now and then, I have to buy a Stingray. Every now and then, I break out my SR5. I'm probably going to have yet another Sterling before this year is over.

It's okay, man. You're amongst friends. We understand.
