Once again, I am reminded of how wonderful it is to have these great dealers participating on the forum.

It's a win-win situation. You guys rock.

This is now a "The Wait Begins" thread

Now that the orders are in the wait begins. I just sold my Dargie 4HH to make room for the rosewood BFR. First time in a long time I don't have a 4HH in the house. Luckily I have a few more Bongos to keep me company.

I'm sure it has been mentioned but what is the ETA on these?

Eggman,

Mid to late Feb. is what I have been told! ... Not that far off!!!!

Thanks Brandt - Happy New Year, BTW.

Going to play a gig in Aspen on MLK weekend - so I guess I will have to play the 2007 Blue Dawn H. Darn. (that was sarcastic - it is a great bass - played it all night at our only xmas gig this season)

Wait a minute Eggman … the way I remember the story is like this: I stressed to you the importance of getting your order in early so you would be in the front of the line when this instruments started rolling of the line and hitting the forum…. Someone, not going to say any names, decided to wait until the second to last day I believe to place their order…. Man oh man it’s going to be torture when guys start posting the BFR Rosewoods on here….

.. just thought i'd give ya a little poke for that..

Did I make a mistake? I held off on a Rosewwood Neck LE for the Anniversary HSS coming this January, or NAMM.

I know two are better than one, but limits are sometimes mandatory.

what would be cool would be the 25th with a rosewood neck.. hehe.. and then let the following seasons be regular maple ;)

MrM

ps: any dealers out there who has ordered a rosewood necked bass without any customer for it?
the nordic distributor hasnt ordered any and i was too slow to react on this.. id love a single h bongo.. white body.. but any color would do.. perhaps the gold one would be cool :)
that is.. if ernie ball company would approve me buying such a bass from europe then.. dont wanna break the rules either :)

Sometimes there is no right answer. I am in the same boat.

I'm hoping I'm able to swing an SSS 25th when they become available. And, I had a serious case of "DO WANT" with a BFR rosewood necked Bongo.

Josh,

I won’t give away any names but the first BFR ordered from me was a:

Bongo 5 HS, Cabernet Pearl, Black Pickguard, BFR Rosewood Neck

Eggman,

Of course I couldn’t play along… that wouldn’t be fun for me! BTW I’ll be in your neck of the woods in about a month (Feb. 15-19) Think you could make it into Breckenridge one night for dinner? I check the miles and it seems to be a bit of a haul… your thoughts?
