A lot of the knuckleheads have great collections of guitars - ernie with his incredible collection of Pets for example, and I've seen some wonderful Axis/EVH collections on here. And of course there is Rob with his growing collection of some EBMM model I can never remember the name of (he doesn't mention them much!) :p

I can't recall seeing anyone with a whole lot of Lukes, which is one of my all time favourite guitars. Wonder why this is?

Is it that they are so perfect, your first or second one nails it completely and then halts the ongoing search for guitar ownership perfection that most of us have? :D

I've been thinking of adding another Luke or 2 (maybe even a BFR!) just to get different colours, but I have to say I'm pretty happy with the one I have, whereas I already have a couple of Axis' and have felt the call for more of them.

My Luke is pretty much my #1 and yet until recently I've never felt the need to get another.

Is this a strange effect of Luke ownership or am I failing in my knucklehead duties!? :D

that's an interesting question :D

But you should ask Kbaim the answer :p

he is to the Luke what Rob is the AL, Ernie to the pet and Brett to the EVH :D

I'd guess that Luke guitars are so fun to play, that you don't have time for collecting! I love my Luke(s).

I absolutely love my Luke. I wanted to get one of each model EBMM builds, then concentrate on which one feels/plays the best for me before I double up on any. I would like another Luke in a Black BFR possibly w/ piezo.

Nobody is to Lukes what Ernie is to Pets!
(maybe what Hef is to women!)

I have 4 right now at home with another 2 back at SLO for repair and 1 being made (due end of September) for a grand total of 7. I'll try and get a shot of them later on this year maybe around october.

That's what I'm talking about Keith, 7 is definitely a collection :D

What made you choose to buy that many, and apart from obvious things like a piezo, do your Lukes sound/play/feel different to each other?

I first bought 2 non piezos and my playing really took a giant leap, then had to get another couple with piezos, then the BFR's were announced so I had to order 2 of those, then Pete had a Blue Dawn LE Piezo coming in...

They do feel/play/sound different. But I'd rather play any of my Lukes than the other guitars in the EB lineup or different brands for that matter. Just seem to suit my style and I find them the most comfortable.

if that's the case then sell me your Al ;)

Talk to Pug. I promised him first dibs if I sell it.

Not that I won't break a promise every now and then.

I actually like the Albert, but my picking hand comes in at an angle on it that fatigues it after about 30 minutes.

Me and my Luke are still in the "honeymoon" phase. I don't see it ending anytime soon, so I don't think I'll be getting another for awhile. Plus....it's a Dargie!!! How could I top that??

Now that I think about it...when I see those BFR's....hmmmmm

after i played a luke.. i don't care about what people talk about good guitar anymore, don't care about what magazine said about great guitar anymore, not interested to read internet article about great guitar.. my hands and my ears has already told me about what i need to know about good guitar.. :) :)

if i buy another guitar (and i will buy), it would be a LUKE.. and the guitar after that it would be luke again.. and so on.. :):)..
it is different.. and the difference is worth playing :):)
