the thing is miss about the Luke is the amazing feel of the neck, i never came to terms with the pickups
I totally agree, I had a quick play of yours last night and the neck was extremely comfortable. Anyway after wiping off the KFC stains, I quickly packed her up ready for shipping...

Good on ya Col!!!! I was always impressed by the clean tone of the Luke, but i also love the raw clean tone of the Silo Special and the AL of course. But i think the Luke may play the best. Maybe there's a pickup change in the future.....

The ss clean tone is really special aint it?I never liked the idea of emg's but I found my self loving the compression of the really high spikes on the single pickups, the bucker can still do ice pick/nails on blackboard well :p

wait a sec people, man you guys read too much into things, i'm not getting a BFR Luke!!!! just a normal Luke!

i got a sunburst ASS a few weeks ago, and have a trans blue ASS on the way, no AL's in a little while!

How did I miss your non-AL purchases?

Nice call on the Luke, if you can't get on with the EMGs just stick some nice pups in there, the Luke is great to play.

I love the sound from the neck pup in my Luke, great for cleans, I don't have a problem with the EMGs at all.

That neck single coil EMG in the Luke is the sweetest pickup I've ever heard.

Although I don't think I'll ever have a collection of Lukes, I do want to get another one some day.

When I first heard about the v-shape of the luke's neck I was wondering wether I could get along with that or not. Until I tried one out!
It's an asolutely amazing feel because of both, shape and finish.
Now I have two luke II models and I wish I had the money to buy a LE 2007 and a BFR! But my collection will continue once I've finished my studies!! ;)
