Wow, this guy has balls and not the kind we like to covet. Pretty poor how he claims to have signed off yet still responded later. I respect a man of his word.

Period!

Just bought a new one, too.

One for riding in the back of the pickup and one for sitting outside the trailer, drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon.

I've got a crap load of hats, cowboy hats too. I use to wear hats all the time, but a couple of years a go I realized that I still had all my hair, so hats are only for bad hair days. (Which happens a lot, I take many naps throughout the day...)

And Jack, that vision of a cold PBR outside the trailer is my kind of Thanksgiving! :D

Yeah I have five MM's with a DD on the way. Beaver has one that I have my eye on and BP said he'd build me more, so my question to the asshat in question is...

Why not have five MM basses?

have i missed something? did somebody throw their Squire out of the pram?

jeez, i thought music (and thus being a musician) was about the expression of some cosmic brain patterns making your hands twiddle an intrument in a certain fashion. and thus bass being your brain saying (make everyone groove around!)

keyboard warrior says: "think the same as me or you're a complete twat!"

and for the record!! mammoth get 1st MM yesterday!

lets start donating Bongo's to Africa!

hah hah... couldnt resist but to answer you, poor, pathetic creature...
im for real, and i can afford 5 musicmans and then some more. but i own one stingray5 and thats enough to me. i also own fender jazz, fender p,warwick streamer st l, lakland 55 94 and mtd.
different looks sounds and feel,as being said.
no,no, really, i had nice time with some of nice guys around this forum, but really, lately i see only pics of that red neck called bovine host ( he will probably erase this post or maybe not, in order to show his braveness:) playing in some saloon, and things like "look at my new anniversary stingray" etc

yes, my adios is for real, keep up the good work up!!!!

Well, I have resisted to post on this....until now....LOL..
Yet another shining example of the troll who has run out of billygoats to bully crossing his bridge.
Jack a redneck...man, did you really spend time just to come up with that one....how (un)original. I am SURE you would tell that to Jack face to face...but then again, I would not bet on it. See, Jack is one of the good guys. He will help out anyone who needs it and will go out of his way to make good on his word. He doesn't sit behind a keyboard spouting off crap for the sake of gaining popularity.
You have more than one bass...what the f**k is the difference if it is from the same manufacturer or not? You have just "owned" yourself bud....which makes this even more funny to me.
I am guessing you are on some HUGE tour of the world right now playing in front of 15,000 screaming fans. Then again, maybe you are on the local bar tour playing in front of 5 fans, 3 of which are the regulars of that particular bar. Nice way to try and insult people who play out at clubs just for the fun of it.
Wait, you probably are just a bass "faker" and are a scared little punk who would throw up in his boots if he hit the stage. That would be my guess....reason, you had to insult people who actually get up and play. Or better yet, you have not mastered "Once a troll, always a troll" using the latest TAB writing software and can't get out of your practice room. Either way....you are an idiot.
We have fun here....we all do. So, with your collection of basses, take your self owning ass, pull your lip over your head and swallow.
If you are such a tough guy...PM me your addy. I would love to talk to you face to face while giving you a lesson on the bass. Or, how to be respectful....

By the way...Happy Thanksgiving......

Bovine....could you hook a brother up and show me your collection of basses in this thread....and one of you with your cowboy hat on....the irony would be classic!

Here is the way I see it:

Music has many components to it: It has the sound a player wants to get, it has the music being written, it has the connection to fans, and it has the personal side: gear selection.

As for gear selection: there are reasons for having duplicate basses that differ only in color scheme. Redundancy is good when you play shows because if something goes wrong, you have something with essentailly the same sound. For example, I would never trade out my Warwick Thumb 5 on a song and replace it with my SR30th. I use the sound that each bass makes and incorporate it into the song (as such I want a second SR30th AND another Warwick Thumb 5,, lol, but thats another story)

To add to that, people who play a lot become attached to their gear. Just as my family is a BMW family, many people are EBMM musicians. So let them be. If they want more than one bass, GOOD! You shold have more than one. You will NEVER EVER get every bass sound out of one bass. To think that is moronic.

To me, my basses are works of art. Someone designed them, chose colors they thought would go well together, and then displayed them to the public. Well, certain ones talked to me, and so I picked them up.

I really hope that troll above leaves, he obviously doesnt own any of the basses he listed or has even played one. Ok, maybe the Ibanez starter pack for children, but, that is hardly a bass. Its a guitar with thick strings

In the end, who gives a rats ass how many basses another person owns? I dont always understand redundancy if you dont play a lot of gigs, but its not my money they are using, and they are giving EBMM to keep their company going, so who is to complain!?

Enjoy your basses, play them, take care of them, appreciate them, and ROCK OUT WITH YOUR CAULK OUT

oh, and dragannr, please sell your Warwick. those of us at the Warwick forums want to be associated with you about as much as the EBMM guys here want to be associated with you. which is to say NOT AT ALL.

My Take is this I have a few MMs each different 4 String, 5 string, Bongo, fretless etc each sound different, I also have a few other basses but the fact that this is a EBMM forum ( paid by EB) is the reason I don't talk about other manufacturers product because it is just totally disrespectful seeing thoug EB pays for this site, and I would guess that a lot of other people on this forum have other basses and think the same. If you want to talk about Basses in general maybe TalkBass or dudepit.

OK, I know those guys Im addresing now are gonna jump on me like hungry wolves, but still I gotta ask this...I often see that certain members lists their basses underneath their posts, and some of those guys having 3-5 musicman basses, sometime only difference being HH,HS,maple or rosewood, and ofcourse colour. Isnt that---at least---unnecessary? I know, again, that this is EB forum, and being huge fan of his basses (always been and will!!!), having SR5 myself, Im not against one or two musicmans, but unless youre EB endorser and they send you dozens, why not have different good basses for different sounds, feel, and look? Are you serious about your playing or only about your collecting?

I totally agree with asshat, I mean draganr.

Five MM basses are too many, you only really need two.

Anyone here that owns five MM's should keep two and send me the other three, so that I can "redistribute" them to "needy bassists" that only have one MM.

Please send only Stingrays and Bongos, I prefer them over Sterlings, uh.. I mean, the "underprivledged bassists" prefer them. And they really love fretless!!!!

"They" would also like a few MM Axis GEE-TAR'S (I'm a redneck too :D), in transparent gold, and transparent red. Aww hell, I'll take any color... I mean they will. :)

Hey, I'm the only poor, pathetic creature here. Don't steal my thunder.

im for real, and i can afford 5 musicmans and then some more.

Well, I'm for pretend. I live in a castle in Spainland. I played bass on the Beatles Sgt. Pepper's album (not Paul). I have a pet dolphin named Oscar Meijer. I have seventy Stingrays... that I made... when I worked at MM in the sixties. They are all gold plated with 142 carat gold made from coins recovered from a sunken Spanish galleon. Beat that with your stupid reality!!

different looks sounds and feel,as being said.

Your momma...

no,no, really, i had nice time with some of nice guys around this forum,

What exactly is your definition of "nice time"?

lately i see only pics of that red neck called bovine host ( he will probably erase this post or maybe not, in order to show his braveness:) playing in some saloon, and things like "look at my new anniversary stingray" etc

You can put up a picture of yourself if you want, if that's what is making you jealous. If other people are in the picture with you, please wear a red nose so we know who the clown is.

yes, my adios is for real, keep up the good work up!!!!

Okay, thanks for stopping by. I'll do my best. :D
