Hello Friends,

.....So, I was wondering, why is it that Guitar Center only stocks ONE Music Man guitar and no basses? Every GC that I go into has only one in stock, and it's always a Petrucci.

.....I would love to try out an Al to see if the neck shape suits me. Same goes for a Steve Morse.

.....They hang a thousand Gubsons up on the wall and a hundred PR-you know who's, but one Music Man. They literally have hundreds of new guitars on the walls, and but one Music Man.

Wow. :(

Please forward to the marketing department. :D

Bryan it is weird but it depends on the GC, I do not know how they run there stores but each one stocks them different. We have seen guys post pics of their GC fully stocked and then you hear of ones like you are writing about that hardly have any at all. Even here in NY the Brooklyn GC has a weak supply but the one in Manhattan is stocked well. So I guess it is whoever is in charge of that particular store is how it gets stocked, though a store that size should carry one of each model mandatory at least, especially since they get a lot of exclusives.

Bryan the one in warwick used to have a lot more guitars but they got sold and they told me it took a while to sell them so they dont get too many. Actually i bought the luke they had. Also i believe the GC in warwick has a about five or so basses or at least they did last time i checked. I know the new london CT GC had a bit more music man guitars at one time.
If you have the time take the ride to Dubaldo Music in CT. they have a bunch of guitars and are really nice guys and know what they are talking about.

Quite the opposite here in Virginia Beach. Ton of basses and no guitars. Sometimes they have them, but, very rarely. I attribute it to only people don't buy EBMM here. Besides the Stingray...I think I am the only guy with a bongo and JP. Every show people want to check out the JP. Just not a big seller in my parts. Darn shame too....

My local guitar center currently (as of last Thursday) has:
1. Axis Supersport (MM90's)
2. Black Reflex
3. White Reflex
4. JPXI
5. JP BRF

They have also had several Axis' and several AL HH over the past year or so. It is where I bought my AL HH Mint. Its hit or miss.

I travel for work all over New England. I have not been to the Warwick or N. Attleboro GC's but am always in Natick, Milbury and Manchester, CT. Natick has a bunch. Several Silos/specs, a hot rod red Axis, reflex. The entire wall behind the guitar desk is all Musicman Guitars and there are a ton of bass'. Millbury has only one Petrucci and maybe 5 bass'. Manchester CT has every Musicman you've ever heard of. Well, maybe not the Dargies or gold rollers, but they have a ton. They are just to the left of the guitar desk on the wall. I have not looked at the bass' there, so don't know.

DuBaldo's (Beller's Music) has a bunch always. If you call ahead of time to tell them what specifically you're looking for, they'll bring it from the other store (DuBaldo's) that's only a couple miles away. I've been there when Pete has disappeared and come back in 15 minutes with 3 more guitars that he thinks I might like. He's closer to you than you think.....just east of Hartford.

I went to the Hollywood, CA Guitar Center a few weeks ago and was rather surprised at the EBMM guitar selection. There were at least ten guitars including a roasted blue Petrucci and blue-flamed Reflex.

You're in RI, so check out GC Boston if you can get up there. They usually have a good mix of MM guitars, though I don't think I've ever seen an AL there.

The GC in Natick, MA has a JPXI, JPX, and 25TH right now, along with some AXIS.

GC here intown ATL had 3 HH AL's, a few JPs, a few Axis's, 3 25ths (same 3 for over a year now, and getting beat up :-( dude says people are freaked out by the series/parallel switch), a Luke I believe, and 10-12 basses. They've always had a decent selection.

A little lighter selection up in Marietta, but not bad there either.

The Guitar Center in Winter Park Florida has a JPX, a Roasted JPX & JP6 in Teal Pearl, a BRF JP Koa & one in the Trans Black, 2 HH ALs one in Hot Rod Red and one in Teal Pearl, Reflexes in Black, White and a Killer Trans Purple Quilt, a Y2D SM, a Axis SS in black cherry, a Axis in cherry burst and wide selection of basses. I would say about 20 or so. BP is right the smaller stores have a smaller amount. I work the winter park GC as a assistant manager and as a EBMM fan I always like try to get cool stuff in and put them in customers hands. I have said it before EBMM makes some of the best guitars on the market.

Hey Gio,

Does your band have a website? I'd like to check out one of your shows...

I've been meaning to go to Dubaldo's. To be honest, I haven't mapquested the trip for an estimated travel time. It seems like that's the place to go for MM in our neck of the woods.

I really wish I could design my own MM on this website, and have it built and sent right to my door...

One crazy-quilt transparent seafoam green Axis with an all-rosewood neck and reverse headstock, please.

Big Poppa? I did say please...

u know, a squeaky door gets oiled!!!

Let the store manager know that you want some EBMM instruments to choose from!!! YOU tell them what you want to see!! Believe me, they will listen to their customers!!

They are in the business to make money, let them know you (and your buddys) like to spend money. That's what Costco did; asked the customers "what do YOU people want to see here"?

Honestly, in my area the manager can't really do anything about it. Like Pops said, supply and demand. We are considered a small market area. When an EBMM surfaces I get a call from them as the local GC knows I am a big fan of EBMM guitars. Funny, I am the only they call. Most of the time the guitar is sent out of state for another customer and doesn't get to hang out for too long. It is what it is. Luckily, I know what I like and stick to it.
