Hi the question is comparing my 77 stingray with my other basses (two nice fender JB ) there is a huge difference in tone when i Slap with the bass disconnected so no electronics involved, my stingray tone is more metallic, notes kick faster, more volumen, more highs, even with old strings stingray tone is by far stronger, is like if you connect one bass to a high impedance or low impedance input amplifier, day and night, I wonder where is the big difference, both basses have MP fingerboard, it is in the high mass bridge in th MM vs stock fender one? heavy ash body vs light alder body? higher frets in MM? neck mass?

Thanks.
