I was asked this a few months ago when my parents bought my last guitar. Actually I ask for Guitars every year for Christmas and My Birthday. I usually get something...

My reasoning is quite simple... I'm a Christian so I tend to be religious with my answers.
The Question: We just bought you a guitar 6 months ago. Why do you need another one so soon?

MY Answers:
a) IT's like having more than one Bible (different translations). Each one has the same message; however, they each say it a little bit differently.
b) (MY FAVORITE) GOD told me I needed this one!
c) MY next reason is going to be... Ya know! I was just too Lazy to change the string so... I bought this one... It had new strings on it already!

**Answer B was use with my last Acoustic/Electric Guitar Purchase. Which happened to be two weeks after my birthday. I got a guitar then too.**

I was also thinking this might fly... (more than likely not)

For those of you Married or have girlfriends... you could always give this a shot

Hey Baby... check out this guitar case I bought. Then open it... HOLY CRAP! I wonder if GC knows they put a fully loaded JP6 guitar in it... It's the same one I already have but in a different color... I'm gonna keep it.

This is great! Humor, Philosophy, sexual politics and religion all inspired and propelled by my need to own two Albert Lee's.

I think "God told me I had to have another one" is possibly my favorite reason, closely followed by "Why not?".

Thanks guys, please continue.....

If this one is true...
Have you looked into leasing thru Executive Jet. A Berkshire Hathaway (warren buffett) company.

They supply the pilots. Pretty expensive.

Why do I own more than one?!?!? It's an addiction! EBMM's are like "good" drugs. I constantly have one in my hands (when I am home) and like the different flavors (tunings) and the mystical cool pretty colors.....like drugs and their (bad) effects, these are good for you! Like drugs (bad) EBMM guitar/basses are addictive.

I also have 19 guns......they each have their own personality and do different things. Can't have enough of either one I say. Guns and guitars.....my favorite hobbies.

Plus, the colors! Man, you just have to have each color.....

Because you can have guitars dedicated to Piezo, another Fernandes Sustainer etc

Besides, no 2 guitars are the same, even within the same model.

I guess it's just like any other hobby (most of us being hobbyists?).

We tend to spend money on the things that feed our passions whatever they happen to be.

I think I've supported EBMM enough to at least pay for a landing gear, I've done my part.

I'm not trying to be sexist or anything but guitars can be compared to women. They may fit the same type that you may like...tight body, nice curves, big breasts, average breasts, blonde, brunette, etc...but their personalities may be very different. When you apply that view, theory or any thing you want to call it, to guitars, you may have a few axis, albert lee's, pertucci's - but each have their own 'personality'...or feel...or even sound. So having a few of the same models can be very cool. Sometimes you feel like a blonde with double d's today and the girl next door tomorrow. Variety is the spice of life (very cliche but very true.)
