Obviously my eBay ad isn't clear enough. It is a genuine MM pick-up. :D

Your ad is crystal clear obbm. However, there are those who don't trust ebay due to bad experiences. Or, it may be the old story that someone beats you to the 'buy it now' button. PLUS, I'm not daft.:D

Maybe we could get a gig in a pub....."Now Appearing Tonight (we hope) THE DAFT BROTHERS!"

That's funny... but I have a hard time laughing for too long... it reminds me of one of the bands I'm in. Perfect name for them.

So whats the sad story regarding the rest of that bass? Fire, flood, or locusts destroy it?

The only sad story is that I can't get an original 3-coil SR5 pick-up. I have an SR5 that was fitted with a Bartolini when I bought it from a guy in NYC. I loved the bass but hated the sound of the Bart. After much searching I eventually got this from someone who had taken it from an SR5. In the mean time I found a 3-coil pick-up that sounded OK. That will stay until I can find the real deal.
