I was once taken to a pub called The Pelican, north of the Golden Gate bridge and turn left. English beer, a dart-board and ex-GPO Telephones Morris 1000 van complete with ladders in the car park.

Actually, that Shiner Bock that BP was kind enough to provide at Jack and Erika's Dallas Birthday Bash was quite good, and made in the USA!

I've noticed that I can get it at my local beer distributor.. if I could only stop myself from picking up the Warsteiner Premium Dunkel every time I go there...
