The wire for the piezo on my john petrucci guitar broke on the low E. Is there a way to fix this? Can I buy a new saddle from somewhere or do I need a whole new bridge?

Without any pictures or accurate description it's tough to determine if it's a quick and easy fix. By the sounds of it though, im sure you wont need a new bridge. Just contact customer service. They'll be more than happy to help you out!!!

S7300044.jpg S7300039.jpg I guess what I need to know is if I can buy a saddle that will fit my guitar with the piezo and wire. Then I can solder to the board and call it good . I just need the one saddle. The wire broke right at the saddle so there is no way to solder back together.

Yeah you'll be able to buy a saddle. There's no generic replacement. It's an oem saddle so you'll have to contact customer service to get one. Spudmurphy refurbished a jp6 from the ground up and had the bridge completely disassembled. Here is his thread I found. Pics of the bridge are right on the first page.

It'll take a little bit of work to replace it but it doesn't seem like it would be too difficult. Just make sure you get the polarity right when you get the new saddle. Then you should be all set!!

I'm sure spudmurphy can help if you need any more specific details.

You will need to check the underside of the saddle to see if it is stamped with "R" or not (I can't tell from your picture)

The piezo saddles are all balanced with one another and they are sorted sorted by color, # of dots, and whether or not it is stamped "R" - you will need an exact match for the saddle that is broken.

Give MusicMan a call toll free 866-823-2255 and they will help you out.

Spud takes a peek ...... yup all covered. The guys have beat me to it ... and it's all good info. Job is (on a basis of easy/middle hard) ... .... I'd say medium.

Take some photos if you can - it'll help others in the future.
