hey guys, i just landed a sweet deal on a bongo....its a 4 string...lava pearl.....single h version.......with hardshell case...brand spanking new.....the sller had it on ebay for a 10 day listing with only a buy it now price of 1020.....i kept waiting around to see what would happen....last night, they added a 'best offer' button....i said what the heck, ill offer 875....i figured i wouldnt get it, but low and behold....im gettin a new bongo.....finally! and its the h version, just what i wanted.....im so excited! a brand new bongo for under 900.....yippee...here is the link to auction with some pics......new bongo

Because people lie on ebay...Not to say that isn't a great bass at a great price, but, it is not custom. People always use the words "rare" and "custom" to fool unsuspecting bidders

yeah, it is far from custom....but it does look very sweet.....i will post pics when i get it in this week.....for anyone here who ones lava pearl....what does the color look like in person...more red or more orange.....and which pickguard looks best....

My Bongo is Desert Gold, but I've seen the Lava Pearl up close several times. It is deifinitely more red than orange.
