I know some of you guys out there have a pretty good collection of EVHs, and was wondering if anybody was willing to part with one. I will be ready to buy in mid October. If anyone would consider it, please PM me, and we can discuss a price. You would be helping make a dream of mine a reality. Thanks.

My preference would be a faded Trans-Purple. My second would be a XXX-Burst(Honey, Sun, or Cherry). My third choice would be Trans-Blue, and my fourth choice would be Trans-Amber. The only colors I would not consider would be Trans-Red or Bubble-Gum.

A well figured top is nice, but not that important to me. Things that are important to me would be that the guitar is all original, that it doesn't have any large scratches/dings/chips in the top, and that the frets are in decent shape. I'm looking for what would probably be considered 8.5 or better out of 10 condition.

Well, a while back I was foolish, and traded my Cherry-Burst Axis for a Budda Amp. Budda's are rare as hen's teeth around here, so I thought I should move on it. I've been missing a Ball ever since. I kind of felt weird posting, since I didn't have a EBMM anymore. Right now, I'm trying to re-join the family with, what I consider to be the Holy Grail of guitar, the EBMM/EVH. I've always wanted one, and as it happens, I'll be coming into some money next month, so I'll be able to pull it off.

Just for the record, I've spent the last year or so experimenting with different amps and guitars, and I've found myself right back where I started. I've determined that the tone I like is a 5150 combo with an EBMM guitar. Nothing feels as comfortable to play, for me, than an EBMM Axis/EVH.

Thanks for noticing my absence BP. I have been lurking though.

I have several guitars that I like a lot. But every time I come back to my EVH after a while I think, "Wow! This guitar is really awesome!"

Welcome back n.b.

Good luck on your purchase...Im still very proud of that guitar. THe prices seem to be increasing too. That makes it a rarity in that very few guitars designed in the last 20 years have achieved collectable status.

Aside from it's collectability, you should be proud of it.
It has revolutionizes the industry more than any other guitar in my opinion.
Changed the thinking and pulled things aways from those other 3 shapes too!

Poppa,

Without wishing this to turn into a thread about the player rather than the iconic guitar, would you ever part with your EVH rarities?

You posted a pic for one with single coils, I'm sure that would be very top end of scale on resale.... not that you need the cash, but a man needs wild shirts now and again!

It's funny you mention that Smelly. I was thinking the exact same thing. I know BP probably wouldn't get rid of them all as they are reminders of the company's journeys through the years, but raffling a EVH for CLB Foundation would be awesome.
