Nice Bryan hope they appreciate what you have done, and remember I/we need the pic!!!

Merry Christmas, Keith! You really went the extra mile for me with the shipping and the entire deal, in fact. Thank you so much!

And, a pic I took of myself holding her (below). What a sweet, sweet guitar. I couldn't put her down. The quality of the workmanship and the materials used are completely over the top on this one. I've owned well over 50 guitars, and it is the nicest I've ever seen - bar none!

Tollie! its finally happening!!! THATS GREAT MAN!! haha im so excited for them!

I know, right?!? How long have I been planning this, since May or June...the day Noah told me he felt like he wasn't getting any better on bass, so he was going to learn Billy Sheehan's "Shy Boy" (David Lee Roth). That's when I decided to get both boys these gems!

Happy Holidays!

Tollie, you are a great dad. These are world class "number one Dad" gifts. The guitar is off the hook! Just gorgeous, my God. The bass sounds exceptional too.

I guess we can add two new EBMM addicts to our family. Nicely done.

Thanks for all the nice comments my friends and Merry Christmas to all!

I took a great pic of Noah with his Big Al but he asked me not to post it in case there are any creepy pedophiles  on the internet who might happen upon this thread. He's 11, so I'm happy he feels that way. And, he's off to Maine for a week so I can't take pics of the Big Al until later. But, here's one from G.C. when I bought it:

The fret dots are so beautiful: albalone ovals outlined with mother of pearl on an ebony board, and a raw neck, like the Axis.

Merry Christmas, Bryan. Very cool gifts. It's good to see the love of playing instruments is being passed on to the next generation.

Thanks Scott!

I am so very lucky that I passed on the gift of music to my two sons, and they both accepted that gift...you know what I mean: not everyone has the ability or interest in performing music, so I am so happy that they both love music and love playing.

It was time that they played first class instruments; after 3 and 4 years of proper lessons. It was time they had the joy of playing an instrument that feels so good it almost plays itself. :)

I think Big Poppa will have another two lifelong disciples. These boys love their Balls. Just like their old man!

Thanks guys!

They've been playing $400 instruments for several years, so this is a quantum leap in quality and beauty for them. It made me so happy to give them these Balls that it felt like it was a n.g.d for myself!

Remember the first time you played a really nice instrument? How it felt so good in your hands and sounded so much better than whatever lesser tool you were using before? How it made you feel excited to play like never before? I wanted to give them that. To me, these ebmm feel like magic in my hands. Some of you will goof on that statement, but I'm sure many of you will agree. I wanted them to have a little of that magic.

Oh, and there is a rule in my house (I made it since I am the Dad):
You can never sell and instrument which was given to you as a gift. I made the rule ten years ago when my wife gave me a late 60's guitar made in Westerly, RI, which is about an hour from me. That factory is closed now, but I have two hardwood body blanks from it that I fished out of the dumpster after they shut down. Yes, I was climbing around in garbage. I wanted to find a neck or better!
Lock the parking lot gates if you ever hear I'm going out to Cali, BP!
