And yes, a very good thing you like taking it apart. I'm gonna make a few long-threatened changes to my Silhouette Special this weekend. Nice to break out the soldering iron every so often.

Make sure you keep us updated on the silo spec.

Since i put in a 500k push pull I think I want to find a 250k push pull to put in next.
I will find my tone , I'm on a mission.

I jus got a Transition bridge for my Y2D. I've got a 36th Anniversary sitting here for the neck and I'm getting an overwound Duncan Antiquity for the bridge. Just curious, what didn't you like about the 36th in your Y2D?

Okay so after a bunch of trial and error this is what I have come to like so far , I had a seymour jazz and jb in my spare parts drawer from another guitar and after cutting the tabs and sanding them to fit cause I had to make them a triangle like the dimarzios and the. Taking apart the morse again I got it all wired up.
500k pot was installed and these pickups so far sound the best Outnof all I have tried so clear and responsive , very warm and distorted sound amazing very chunking sounding with a lot of balls . I played the guitar in my house through a Mesa dc5 and a 1 x12 cab live amp is usually a Marshall jvm but after hearing the mesa I might switch.

I have a gig tomorrow night so we shall see how they do live but intial tests sound awesome.

To me the 36th was too muddy I just didn't like the sound. In my strat it sounded much better.
The seymour Duncan jazz in my opinion sounds much better

Interesting, I've been very much enjoying the 36th in my Y2D. I don't find it muddy at all. It's thick and creamy like I want from a nice lower output neck humbucker. It works equally well for clean rhythms or searing solos.

Wish they were purple to match but oh well but the colour doesn't make the tone.
