Y2D Solar Flare - very nice!

went to my local dealer yesterday, because he had a nice Y2D Solar Flare come in.
just wanted to see this color in "real life", before i place an order.

my first impression was, "oh, the purple pups don´t look that cool on this" but after a few minutes i thought "wow, this babe is hot!!! the color is very very nice, and the purple pups fit well with the purple burst edges"

and the quilttop on this is very unique, but hard to capture with the smartphone cam.
so here is a picture of the guitar i´m talking about:

I think it's missing something for Joe (floyd trem)..

For me personally the solar flare is to close to the PDN honeyburst to get one in that color. At least in pictures it seems that way, could be totally wrong about that!

If I were to buy another Y2D, it would definitely be one in Blackburst.

solar flare isn´t close to any other color in the Y2D line or the PDN. the red is unbelievable on solar flare, it´s dark but with a lot of shine to it. really great looking!
i will work something out with my dealer the next days for this guitar, for sure!
but at the moment i´m waiting for delivery of another Y2D

black burst tremolo will be the next step....but this will take some time until i saved enough money. i already have a black burst (dark lord), so there is no hurry for it.

Absolutely gorgeous guitar/finish. We almost bought one of these but the dark lord just sounded better...
...not sure why...

the dark lord has a fatter neck, which makes the guitar sound a bit different compared to the regular Y2Ds.

I hear ya, but for me that's always a problem. Somehow with buying MM I always find a solution with which I'm content
If it means sleeping on the couch, the couch it is. Haha!

haha, you got me...i really felt in love with the Y2Ds. it's just a perfect guitar, everybody should have at least one Y2D
but this beauty will have to wait until i sold a few other things....but watch out for a NGD-thread during the next week or so.
