That is one freaking weird colour my friend!!!!
It kinda reminds me of my kids pet turtles.

It reminds me of going to a car show where the feature is 50's hot rods.

On the color chips it didn't look anywhere near that sparkly... No clue as to why this finish is so nutty, maybe the 8 coats had something to do with it?

Regardless, I guess the question is do YOU like it?
Because if you do, then who cares what we all say!
You are a brave man to try it in the first place.

Thanks guys, I'm very happy with it so far! I'll post completed pics as soon as it is all back together. Then, on to the next project in a different color - I'm loving this painting stuff, I may have to offer is as an option

Jonny, I'm going to do a few more various guitars in different finishes/styles before I think about taking orders seriously. Pretty much any color would be a possibility.

Brent, If you wanted one of your EVHs done in trans-black I could do it.....

Very interesting--a DuBaldo one-off! I like the variety of colors that the finish offers. Looking forward to seeing pics of it in natural light when it's all back together.
