Apart from being a show off, isn't putting a leg on the monitor supposed to help you to get the guitar sitting to a comfortable spot when playing some difficult phrase?

You'll be in deep sh$t if the band is using in ear monitoring. I also would get bored standing in the one spot all night being tied to the monitor.

Hey Koogie,

It's all mental. I'm growing my hair out again (last time was in highschool/college) because of Morse, Vai etc.... It gives me the Samson effect

LOL! Actually, for me, God has a sense of humor as well.....he took half my crop, so I decided to mow the rest of the field. When it starts to grow (the little I got), it looks like a "hair horseshoe" or as I like to call it....Yankee Stadium at full capacity....hehehehehe:D

Regardless of what anyone thinks of him, he is considered and will go down in history as one of the best. Right up there with Vai, Satch, Petrucci and anyone else you can think of........You have to give the man his props. You just don't pick up a guitar and play that way without an immense amount of practice and dedication. You can find talented, gifted people in movies, radio, music, tv etc. that are just not people persons. Who knows why...... T.O. comes to mind because of his recent BS, but you have to admit he is one of the best wide receiver playing today. I met Yngwie at a restaurant once and he was very pleasant, cordial and even signed a hat for me.

Plus, what made him stand out when he first broke was the melody in his solos. Look at some of the Alcatrazz solos [Island in the Sun, Too Young to Die, Jet to Jet, etc.] he did when he was basically a teenager. Cool stuff, showing him to be more than "some jerk who plays fast!"

Ok, so are we done sucking his d**k yet? :D

(Kidding, I know he's a great player. But this thread has kind of exhausted itself.)
