Sorry It Took Me So Long

Sorry it took me so long to respond, the guitars were heavily discounted when I went in on Friday, and if you read through the comments a fellow forum member confirmed this. I am not aware if they have taken them off sale, but I will check again tomorrow(Monday) on my lunch break. I have dealt with them before, and a lot of the salesmen there are real shifty, in fact I can't tell you any one person to talk to because I have had problems w/ a few of them. A couple quick points!

1. I do not work for them, and never have, I work in the Mortgage industry 5 minutes from the store.
2. I was a little angry when I saw the prices, becasue I had just spent about $350 more on my rosewood from Chuck's.
3. The only reason I told you guys, is that I had felt that this is one of the closest nit, and freindliest of all the guitar related forums that I frequent. And you guys helped me out when I posted the All rosewood axis vs. maple top axis w/rosewood neck axis topic about two or three months ago on my first post.
4. Most guys that missed out on the sale the way I did would have kept this to themselves. But I felt that the forum members on this site should know how great of a deal i found.
5. I am sorry, if when guitar center saw the response in phone calls, that they would try to jerk some of you around.
6. I appreciate the way you guys treated me on my first post for advice, and I in turn followed your advice and purchased the rosewood axis, and I am very satisfied w/ the quality, and sound Thanks again, and that is the reason why I shared this incredible deal with you,

I have a feeling that they saw the response, and then tried to take advantage of some of you, but I hope someone got a hold of one for what they were priced at.

One More Thing

If They Did Jerk You Guys Around The Way It Sounds That They Have, Then I Am Through With Them, The Only Reason And I Mean Only Reason I Shop There Is That It Is So Close, If They Don't Give Darchinoj The Guitar At The First Price They Quoted Him Then I Am Done, If Those A** H**** Are Going To Make Me Look Like I Am Full Of Bs Then I Am Done! This Has Really Gotten Me Pissed Off! Darchinoj, Pm Me Again W/ The First Price They Quoted You And I Will Verify If It Was Correct. Gc Is Full Of A Bunch Of A** H****, Well At Least Mine Is. I Am Glad That I Ordered Mine From Chuck, Instead Of Doing A Special Order W/ Them, And Giving Them More Of My Hard Earned Money. Sorry If You Got Your Hopes Up! And Best Of Luck To You And Your Wife

Do No Deal W/ Furo, If You Are Still Interested, And Willing To Do Business With Them, You Should Call The Store Manager, Name The First Person You Talked To And The Price. It Sounds To Me That Since The Price Was So Low, That Furo, Probably Thought That He Would Not Make A Big Enough Commission, And Gave You A Different Price To Pocket The Rest. I Know That This Is A Touchy Area, But I Am Sure That The Moderators, And The Co Of Ernie Ball Are, Very Unhappy With How There Customers Are Being Treated By Their Dealer. Maybe A Call Is In Order, Fron Ernie Ball, And If You Have Noticed The Moderators, Have Not Contadicted Anything I Have Said, It Was Legit, And I Am Sure Ernie Ball Checked Into It.

I Never Liked Furo, And He Would Consistently Give Me The Lowest Bids On My Trades.

crazy jay back off on the anger..many of the forumites here know the big wigs at gc all the way up to the ceo..they came to dallas...If darj wants the guitar then lets see what we can do. Word to the wise if you get a price quote get it in writing and also make sure that you speak to the same person when completing the transaction. To expect that each salesman will know the details of each and every proposed deal in unrealisitc

I think things like this happen. Not all sales guys are in "the know" of what the manager may be giving as a price. The CEO of Guitar Center is a stand up guy...I know...having met him here in Va. Beach. He has a job to do and is very much about the music and gear. Again, he does have a job to do as well. He even sponsored some of his employees on the Warped Tour.....that in itself was cool of him to do. He trying to make changes and I have seen some of the changes here in Va. Beach...and in my opinion, none were really needed, but the store did improve in some areas HE felt needed improvement. The GC here in Va. Beach is top notch and the people working there have been there for years.....which is good for me and anyone else shopping there.

Just a slight OT mention:

Koogie, Marty from GC mentioned you in Dallas. He said that he'd met you in VA Beach and he even remembered your name. Just thought you'd like to know that... pretty awesome when the CEO of such a huge company remembers someone like that.

+1 there. I talked to Marty for a while and he seems like a stand-up guy. The fact that he took time out of his busy schedule to hang out with us knuckleheads speaks volumes.

Hey CrazyJay, appreciate the response and the support. Don't worry about it, bud. These things happen; no big deal. I did email the manager of the store informing him that I was displeased with the service, but I didn't make a big deal out of it, just wanted to let him know.
The reason that I asked to speak to a different person was: 1) when I asked for the guy I first spoke to, they paged drums because that's the area he worked in and, 2) he didn't know what an ernieball musicman was:D . But he did actually go and pull the guitar, said their was a green tag on it with a price that was $_00 less than their original price.
Don't worry fellas. These things happen. I know GC is a huge company and I have no ill-feelings towards them or their CEO. Your business is only as good as the people you hire, sometimes there are a few bad apples in the bunch. This does in no way affect how I view GC as a whole. To be perfectly honest, I really don't care. If it's a good guitar, a good price, and I want it, then I'll get it.
Now if I were buying a car or a house, then I'd be pissed:D .

Wait, what am I saying? I'm pissed! I'm mad as hell! Curse the world! Nothing, and I mean nothing could ease this pain...........except maybe a certain Rosewood Silo in the possession of a very generous, intelligent, good looking, and charismatic gentleman:D .
Just kidding, BP. I just wanted to cheer up this thread a little bit.
No seriously, Jessica Alba could, infact, ease the pain, but don't tell my wife;) .

BTW.

I did my Bongo deal at the GC in Cerritos CA, and dealt with Alex (I had bought a LP Standard from him before). He was great on both of my deals, knew the product, and no BS or pressure from him. So, if you are stopping in there, look for him.

Before you ask, no I don't work there and he's not a relative...'

Peace!

I'm sorry for the confusion regarding the guitars mentioned. According to the store, the pricing error was made by a new employee still evidently "in training", and corrected within a few hours by the store manager.

All Ernie Ball guitars are at our everyday Guaranteed Lowest Price (GLP), but are not discounted beyond that as supply is very limited relative to an ever increasing demand.

I hope this helps. Unfortunately, my attempts to contact Jessica Alba have not been quite as fruitful...

You will thank me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear fellow MM fans,
Upon investigation of this strange report, we discovered that a brand new store employee had taken it upon himself to price some products for our weekend sales event and had incorrectly marked the MM guitars, among others. Upon discovery of the mistake, the prices were corrected within hours. There was never any intent to "blow out" MM guitars; we love them and many of us own them, too. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. With 8000+ employees, mistakes are going to happen; we try to keep them to a minimum, but we're only human.

Thank you guys!

Excellent customer service! Thank you for so much for clarifying something that many businesses would not have clarified. I agree that it was an honest mistake. No harm, no foul. These things happen. When I worked in retail, I saw the same error many times.
What? No Jessica Alba?
Oh well, Shakira will do! And she can jam, too.:D
Thanks again.
