hoochie, your StingRay was completed on 9/15/00 and was shipped to Riks Music & Sound in Knoxville, Tennessee. The body wood should be poplar.

Hi Dan,

Can I get a D.O.B. for this one: E04187 ? Also, if you can tell which body wood was used, that would be pretty much amazing :)
Thanks!

Certainly - this Trans Red StingRay 5 with a rosewood fretboard was completed on 8/21/98. The body wood should be alder, but there is a possibility it is ash. You can tell by the wood grain.

Thanks!

That's better! ;)

This Teal/Maple StingRay 5 bass was completed on 8/24/95 and was sent to Bill's Music House in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dan

Thanks again. Funny thing is I recently picked up my "old" Stingray I traded in at Bills. They had it in a glass case, and decided to buy it back(once I haggled on the price) from them. I believe it's an 03 Autumn Sparkle Redburst...I'll ask for a date once I get some pictures of it.

Bardley, welcome to the Forum. Your StingRay 5 was completed on 10/30/02 and was shipped to Bass Central.

Dan

Thanks for the quick reply!
I have had it for a couple years and bought it from the original owner.
It's a great bass, but I guess I don't have to tell you that...;)

Okay, so the serial # on the Autumn redburst sparkle is E30269. If you can help me out with this one, I'd certainly appreciate it.
