Cabs above the 100db range seem to love the power pushed too them, and still
remain nice and clear.

Right now I really digging my Epifani UL502 with the Epi PS112 (soon to add another PS112). I love the tone I'm getting with this rig. :D

Looks like the Epi UL 502 might be going back. The master volume pot is quite scratchy and I don't think an amp that costs this much should have any issues. I'm thinking of picking up a MB CMD 121P.

Currently sporting a Bass Floor POD as a preamp into a Behringer EP1500 power amp into a SWR Goliath III. Got myself into a band several years ago where I needed power on the cheap. Bought the cab used cheap, and of course the Behringer is just plain cheap, but it sounds decent and gets me loud enough.

Looking at upgrading sometime next year. Looking at going with either Mark Bass or Genz Benz, a couple 2x10s and a good lightweight head should do just nicely...

don't have one pic of the entire thing, so you'll get it in dribs & drabs....not like there's a lot to it anyway.

My rack top to bottom:
Furman thingy without lights, M8X I think it is. Cost me $40
Sabine 1601 Rack tuner I bought in 1993
Amped SVT2-Pro, bought in Oct '06, one of the last USA made units...

Amp with my old rack case (where the tuner didn't fit) and my Goliath II. Picked this baby up on Craig's list for $70. Had all 4 speakers blown so I replaced them with Eminence Legend BP102-4's, to make it a 4-ohm cab being that my amp can run 4 or 2 ohms total. According to specs, the speakers are very inefficient (92dB) and supposedly lack midrange. But to the human ear they sound phenominal. Mucho low end (almost like a 1x15) with a very warm vintage tone. And who cares about inefficiency...I got TUBES, bitch!

and finally my sphincter relaxer. I think these Carvin cabs are seriously underrated. This thing rattles everything in the house.

Although my first listing in this thread is back on page 3, i've since changed from a 810 cab to two 410's. Life is a lot easier now that I can move them by myself without any assistance.

Here's the latest incarnation of my current rig.

My next photo of it will have a couple of my Stingray 5's in it. Stay tuned.

Thx alex. To answer your question, my SR5 in that photo is Vintage Sunburst with matching headstock, Rosewood fretboard and Tortoise shell pickguard. I've since replaced the black knobs with chrome ones.

I'd love to say it's my favourite EBMM bass, but they're all so frigin' amazing that I can't pick a favourite. Although lately my Sterling 5 HH 2008 LE has had my ear and seen a lot of studio time. Can't weight to get a Big Al 5 next spring.

Man that's a nice looking rig! I had a chance to try out some Genz stuff in Montreal a while ago. Really nice sounding.
