Ha! I just got a second 301 cab! So now I can fill a stadium. If I get a third I will let you have that one :)

I recently picked up a Mesa Boogie TL606 style 2x15 in 8 ohm config. So I play my sterling (blue dawn!) through a Mesa bass 400 driving 3-15" boogies!
With the gain up it sounds slightly aggressive. Just a tad...

Trying to get another identical cab so I will be running 4x15!

Does anyone run their MM into a Line 6 Bass Pod (or equivalent) and then directly into the board for live performances? Does that work well?

Thanks,

I did this for a few days when I first got my 25th. I then figured out I did not need the pod to get a great sound... The bass had it already

My Line 6 bass pod has been gathering dust since then.

What is heavy? Or is that aerobics work?

Though I must say that 2x12s are getting very popular. And Avatar is a good brand. Sad that they are not in stores and I can't try one out. I think they also have a 3x12 or a 4x12?

How would you describe the difference the tone from the 2x12 and the 2x10? I am much curious.

Thanx,

- Ziggy -

MM > MXR M82 Bass Envelope > Subdecay Baby Quasar Phaser > EBS MultiComp > EBS UniChorus > Tech21 VT Bass > Markbass CMD 121P combo

My next purchase will be a Markbass New York 151 cab so I can take advantage of all 500 watts of the combo... I don't really need the extra volume very often, but those MB heads sound better when they're being run into a 4 ohm load, they just seem to breathe more and sound more open.

It's weird being at this place in my bass playing career of 30+ years... there's NOTHING I would change in my setup. Everything sounds perfect.

My setup these days has gotten real simple. My church gig I use a Fender Bassman 150, post eq send. At home I am using a Acoustic B20 with my iPod or satellite radio. I just don't need the volume anymore. My ears and back are thanking me for the change.
