You guys should probably see speed increases as Amazon has more bandwidth than our old T1 could ever dream of.

DNS was updated about 1.5 hours ago to point Ernie Ball | Home to it's new home and IP Address.
DNS usually takes less than 2 hours to propagate, but can take up to 24 hours.
The forum on the old server is turned off so you'll be able to tell if your DNS is resolving to the new or old server. Of course not only doesn't this post not exist on the old server, you wouldn't even be able to read this post on the old server so I guess the point is moot...

music-man.com was moved to Amazon last weekend after the motherboard on the old server died and took out both sites.
It took a little bit longer to move the ernieball.com site over since the entire site contains 30+ gigs of data and T1 is not fast, but we finally got it moved over.

We started testing the moved eb site yesterday and think we got any bugs/issues a move can cause ironed out. If you notice anything odd feel free to reply to this thread.

Hi Chewie, Sometimes trying to go into the guitar and Bass Forums the following message appears "Invalid Forum specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator " It resolves by refressing via IE after clicking on the Guitar or Bass forums link. Just FYI.

Yah I get the same thing, but it only seems to happen when using the link @ the top of the page. Using Firefox 3.6.13.

I also seem to be getting a lot of error messages saying that I have clicked on an invalid forum thread when I select the link to the guitar forum from the forum home page. - using Google Chrome

I'm getting error messages when i try to log into my profile

"This user has not registered and therefore does not have a profile to view"

I sent a message to Arin a few days ago an he got back to me saying that its being looked into.
Was just having an ask to see if anybody else has experienced the same problem as everything else is working as it should be.
Regards,
Dan.

Guys-

Chewie is aware of these issues, he's tracking down some remaining bugs.

Dan- there are other usernames with characters that cause the same problem, not to worry, he's on it.

As someone involved with The Gear Page's recent server move, I'll thank you for the smooth migration!

Looks like the new server has different VB SEO settings. I'd bookmarked the guitar forum and the URL had the forum name. After the move, that URL no longer works and seems to have been replaced by the standard VB showthread.php one.
